It is a basically a device that connects your TV with the Steam client ( a game platform ) on PC , so you can display PC games on the TV screen.

They are very similar but the NU7400 has Wide Color Gamut , which means the TV can show more colors when playing HDR supported movies / games.
It also has a slightly better cable management ( where they let you hide the cable into slots behind TV )

Beside that , they are not very different at all.

Yes that too , because Samsung has decided to be a cheapskate and give you a cheap remote this year + cut down on some external features
And if we dive down to the minor details , the Samsung NU7100 also doesn't support TV mirror-ing , the nu7400 does .

All of these features are all present in last year's basic model (and 2016's ) , sadly.

Not a deal breaker really , unless you specifically require these function on a TV

They are both the most basic 4k TV models from Sony and Samsung , so their specs are very close.

Last time I checked , the 65 inches of X7000E is also a VA screen , like MU6100 and NU7100.

X7000E has slightly better brightness performance because the Samsung's UHD Dimming dims the small & bright highlights when showing very dark scenes.
Since the X7000E doesn't has any specific dimming features , its brightness levels remain pretty consistent under all situation.
On the other hand , the UHD Dimming allows the Samsung models to show a little better contrast levels , slightly enhancing the picture quality.

note : This is only applicable for the VA models ( mainly the 55 and 65 inches ) for X7000E , the smaller sizes use an IPS panel which cannot be applied in the same situation.

X7000E can remove judders from 24p movies , Samsung's BFI implementation is better .
The Sony 's model also does not support 5ghzWIFI.

Most of the differences are still pretty trivial.

In general , I would suggest buying whichever that is the cheapest . If not , go for MU6100 because it is the best all round TV at this budget range , albeit marginally.

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-size/65-inch ...

go for nu8000. hahaha... i bought 65 inch nu7100 for the lower price compared to 55 inch nu8000.

in term of features, feels a bit regret. but yeah... my eyes could not differentiate the differences.

getting more annoyed at my current 3 years old 49JU6400, the vertical banding is getting more obvious doh.gif

thinking of changing, saw lots of shop letting go the older stock of Q7 series with huge discount, are they worth it? hmm.gif
or should I stick with the latest NU series?

Not really , unless you can find them way cheaper than the current NU8000 .
