Why need to use cheap oil for topup? You should be using the same type/brand oil for topup also.

Usually I topup 200ml-500ml

That and ayam is cheap, current engine is 300k km ady and don't think I'll be driving the car much longer.
Too much age related issues.

That's why searching for a prius c icon_idea.gif

Get Mizu which is affordable and decent quality. Don't cheap out too much as the car you still driving. Not like ask you to get Castrol or Petronas. Even want to sell already doesn't mean you let it rot. Imagine if you are buying a used car, the previous owner think like you. Do you want to get a bad condition car cause the owner don't want to take care of it already cause selling?

Just a suggestion.. Why not try a good high mileage oil or branded oil, it may actually save more time & money than continue topping up

I just started going back to established known engine oil too after using cheap oil for like 4-5 yrs 😂
Need to love back my car

Sounds like a very old car. Since you need to top up constantly, might as well buy 7litres in 1 go. Check out the BHP Trans Super 15W-40 API SL/CI-4. It is only around rm80 for 7litres, and probably lower when on sale.

I mean if u continue top up, its additional costs also.
Maybe at the end same costs as better oil, some oil has PAO & ESTER for less sludge and better high temperatures evaporation.

The car burns 1 quart for every 4k km, I change my oil every 6k km

Those pao & ester oils are at least rm 140 for a 4l bottle, the car needs 2 bottle so RM280

The usually oil I use is from nissan/total only cost rm50 per bottle, 2 bottles only rm100

Sludging? the car is 35 years old, back then tolerence are much more liberal

Not to mention this was my old topup I had to buy as a backup
