I have a few frend  import directly from Japan.. I think if you love to venture in car parts business you should do that as well.. For my T.Wish ZGE20 parts I always source from them..

If you are spare parts or workshop can open account at..
1) UMW Toyota Motor Service Parts, Shah Alam..
2) Hua Hong Auto Supplies
3) Vanli - very slow in shipments
*
Can I just open up a rm2 company in ssm then buy as distrib?

Dynolube from Tesco ok or not? Did a bit of digging on their API certification, can't seem to find any product named Dynolube.

Dynolube is overpriced for what it is
Even shell hx7 is a better choice

I guess you're right okay, I'll graduate and buy from tesco next.

As long as 5W30,  being full sync shldn't matter and is much better right, vs my semi sync now.

Why need to use cheap oil for topup? You should be using the same type/brand oil for topup also.
*
Usually I topup 200ml-500ml

That and ayam is cheap, current engine is 300k km ady and don't think I'll be driving the car much longer.
Too much age related issues.

That's why searching for a prius c icon_idea.gif

Get Mizu which is affordable and decent quality. Don't cheap out too much as the car you still driving. Not like ask you to get Castrol or Petronas. Even want to sell already doesn't mean you let it rot. Imagine if you are buying a used car, the previous owner think like you. Do you want to get a bad condition car cause the owner don't want to take care of it already cause selling?
*
Tried mizu, quite rough on the engine.
Now moved to nissan/total

Not planning to even sell it, the car has holes on the floor ady. Not that I let it rot, memang boughted knowing it's partly liddat

Just a suggestion.. Why not try a good high mileage oil or branded oil, it may actually save more time & money than continue topping up

I just started going back to established known engine oil too after using cheap oil for like 4-5 yrs 😂
Need to love back my car
*
How does it save time or money?
Tried using shell fully synth 5w-40, still burn 1l/4k km and need to topup

Sounds like a very old car. Since you need to top up constantly, might as well buy 7litres in 1 go. Check out the BHP Trans Super 15W-40 API SL/CI-4. It is only around rm80 for 7litres, and probably lower when on sale.
*
Closing in 35 year old soon

But thanks for the recommendation!

QUOTE(LA773 @ Mar 31 2022, 04:15 PM)
I mean if u continue top up, its additional costs also.
Maybe at the end same costs as better oil, some oil has PAO & ESTER for less sludge and better high temperatures evaporation.
*
The car burns 1 quart for every 4k km, I change my oil every 6k km

Those pao & ester oils are at least rm 140 for a 4l bottle, the car needs 2 bottle so RM280

The usually oil I use is from nissan/total only cost rm50 per bottle, 2 bottles only rm100

Sludging? the car is 35 years old, back then tolerence are much more liberal

Not to mention this was my old topup I had to buy as a backup

.

First of all, nothing shameful using old cars la.. All cars  in my family also between 15-25 yrs .

i was not aware ur car needs 2 bottle, my bad
The such big amount of oil reduction, ever check due to seal? Or other stuff? Incase u plan to solve the root cause
*
Old car maa, standard wear and tear, not as bad as 1mzfe & 1zzfe fuel burn. That and a small valve cover leak, not enough to drip on the floor though
I'm searching for a 'newer' car nao, especially when there's a huuge probability that ron95 won't be pegged to the same price anymore

The car starting to have alot of rust holes on the floor & I don't have much time to take care of it anymore
Not worth selling oso.

Is there possibility oil reduction due to this oil u using?
I mean either its fake oil or lower quality oil
If u need to use 2 bottle & topup 2 liter, thats rm120 for 6k km

If u use pao + ester, rm240 can last u 10-12k km... Then its almost same.. But less 1 round of labor + oil filter
And less topup 2-3 times hassles

Give it a try bro 😂who knows
*
Old car not meant to use long intervals

The topup was needed even if i used teh shell helix oso

I don't think Giant will risk selling fake oils. They big and a lot to lose if proved in a legal action.

Same with Lotus ( former Tessco ). I have been using their oil for last 7 years, no problems. Btw one of my cars is a high performance BMW 6 series, also use this oil and no issues. Sometimes Shell UH full syn at Lotus retails at RM90/-

Can use it safely!
