If not mistaken ac off the car idles around 650-700 rpm only. This also is with the engine up to temp. If cold start it idles a bit over 1k rpm. 2-3k rpm is highway cruising speed already.I'm not sure what is the problem but may not be related to transmission since in P the clutch should be disengaged. I recommend that you try parking it at home and popping the hood and try to triangulate where the sound is coming from. |

QUOTE(nzard @ Apr 18 2022, 08:34 PM) I have the 2015 Iriz 1.6 Premium and it's been fine so far until recently. aircond cool or less cooler?Maybe I have ignored it all these time but I've been hearing a low pitched "purring" noises whenever my car is on idle. Not sure if this is normal but I've attached a recording of it in this post. It's due for a CVT transmission service this end of May if it matters and I was wondering if I should send it to get it serviced earlier. |

Hi all, I just bought a used 2016 Proton Iriz MT. No car user guide available. Each time I lock the car, the alarm goes off. When unlock the car, no alarm sound. When driving, beeping alarm sound appears. Appreciate if anyone can share the root cause of the problem? Also can anyone explain the following fault icon (refer picture)? Thank you.

QUOTE(alfie2011 @ Apr 30 2022, 10:47 AM) Thank you for the respond. Much appreciated. I solved the problem by accident. I SLAMMED the rear bonnet hard (out of frustration) and the fault icon dissappeared. All working fine now. Cheers. Glad to know that. Under normal circumstances, it shouldn't be difficult to close the bonnet with much effort. It might be due to faulty door sensor or perhaps the car was involved in rear-end accident before.Anyway, hope u enjoy ur ride. It was due to bonnet not pressing enough onto the button so what i did was remove the rubber boot and placed some paper at the end where it presses the button then when I installed it back no such issue anymore. I'm not sure where the boot is getting the boot open signal from but if its similar then can apply the same technique. |

My rear view mirror is getting loose, any idea how to fix it? There is no screw for me to tighten.
