Which seatbelt part is the one that's rattling? Mine is in the door. You don't have any whine at all? Even at the rear left wheel?
*
You know where you pull the seatbelt? That area actually has plastic-to-plastic sounds on uneven roads, annoying at times since right beside my ear. Another is the seat belt "holder" thingy at the floor, beside the seat - that thing wiggles about hitting everything. I'll take pics next time.

Nope, no whine sound from the rear for me. Isn't whine sound is due to bearing?

Thanks. One more question, will prying the HU open voids the warranty?
*
It'll void the warranty for that cover only. I asked this to a proton SC before.

Anyway, even if you want to claim warranty for that part, most probably they won't even layan even if you never touch before. lol

Before prying open, please have plastic tools or something, because prying it open will damage the dashboard a little at the pry-open area.

You can buy these prying plastic tools at the shopee/lazada. I bought mine for like RM5 for a set.

QUOTE(Jiao2 Itchy @ Dec 26 2019, 01:49 AM)
guys wanna ask, what is the service schedule after 150k km??
the stuffs listed in service booklet and online website all stop at 150k km..

how to know what next to service for 160k, 170k and so on.. ?

anyway was thinking about warranty as well..

when i bought the time, got this promo of extended warranty to 7 years or 250k km iinm..
but throughout my 4years+ ownership of the car (2015 car), never once gotten confirmation about that damn extended warranty..

right now my car is 4years and 3 months old. mileage is 118k km.. but my service is going for 150k km soon.. if it confuses you (basically the first 3 or so years of ownership was serviced by time interval every 6 months because of low mileage, but after that the mileage picked up cause im doing grab every month reach around 10k i guess)

but anyway since the warranty is 5 years or 150k km, whichever comes first. i guess i got around 30k km or about 7 more months of warranty left, not withstanding my so called "extended warranty" which im not even sure of its status..

so since my next service schedule falls under 150k km, and the service booklet stops at 150k km.. but im still under warranty for another 30k km, so i wanted to stick it out and continue servicing officially at SC.. so was wondering whats next.. as im still under warranty, but no idea what the service schedule will be like for the next 3 services..

anyway to summarize my 4years + of ownership of this car and clocking 118k km so far:

overall no complaints, and much2 cheaper than servicing/maintaining my new myvi..  puke.gif  puke.gif

Lel, itchy, i thought u drive lexus. Hahaha

Anyway, I asked Proton SC (Pesona Mahir) about this since I was there today for my 10k service. The foreman told me after 150k, it's between you and the SC. They will refer to the book for when to change parts, but it basically become manual servicing since there is no book to follow already. The foreman said to discuss with whichever Proton SC u go to.

Not sure about the extended warranty, though.

i got many cars but not lexus..
i only play cheap2 cars

just done my 150k km service today at COSE. i ask the SA about 160k service, he told me for 160k = same like 60k and 170k = 70k and so on..

i wanted to slap the shit out of him, but i holiday mood so i just ignore what he say..

fukken idiot never use brains... 60k = major service. and i just did major service at 120k.. so if 160k = 60k, means only 40k km from my previous major service i need do another major service already instead of every 60k km.. really stupid that fella lol.
*
That's why I think the foreman said depends on SC. Better you go to Authorized, instead of official.

Dang, this is great. Up to 250,000KM warranty, and some these parts will definitely need changing, e.g., suspensions. Noice.

Iriz 2019 get 3 free labour service only. lol

all protons get first 3 service free labour lol, not tied to any year's promotion..
its 1km, 10km and 20km..

guess they had to, cause iriz launched in 2014, and at that time no consumer confidence on proton's hatchback. cause their prev hatchback Savvy was a nightmare..
so sales wasnt picking up although they know they made a great car..

at that time, eventho the iriz was a better looking car + much safer car with full ABS+ESC as standard across all range and the myvi at that time was a 4* ANCAP with only ABS on their top specs, myvi was still winning in sales..

so they really went super hard on promotions..

when i bought in 2015, i got 10% merdeka discount + 7 years warranty + sales man discount.. original otr price was 48k for 1.3 exec cvt, after all the discounts the price was around 42k only..

so it was no brainer to take it over myvi..
*
Depends on the Proton. Exora this year got a good promotion after the launch.

Perodua's maintenance is much higher later on; hence, one of the reasons I did not opt for the Myvi gen3.

Probably a stupid question.

If I disconnect my battery, does my alarm still work? Can I still unlock my car with remote key?

Nope. Got to enter the car manually (key)

Any advice since last time i changed my front tyre and did the alignment by replacing chamber on may 2019, is it possible if i do the alignment need to replace chamber?

usually if change tyre better do the alignment?

I'll give my 2cents:

I've been to many shops looking for good alignment service. There are few in old klang road and such, but they're popular and can have long queue, leading to them doing a cincai job. From my experience, the shops that ask to change the chamber always give bad results, and they charge a ridiculous price for the chamber screw. So, avoid shops that ask to change chamber screw, unless your chamber seriously lari la (chamber screw can bengkok if enter really bad pothole) - it happened to me before, but the mechanic changed back to nonadjustable Proton ones.

Finally got my car back from Body and Paint workshop.
But seems like a bit weird for temperature gauge.

If I am not mistaken, before this my 2019 Iriz FL always showing 1 ~ 2 bars only, rarely go to 3 bars. However now it consistently showing 3 bars.

May be I rmb wrongly, can any 2019 Iriz FL car owner here help me to check if your car punya temperature gauge normally showing how many bars?
*
Yes, 3 bars. Ideal temp.

Generally for trapo mat, you get 3 pcs for rear seat. But , you can always ask if you want to combine all 3 pcs into 1 big piece. This can be done upon request. I bought from their shop, the staff said can customize if reasonable request. bruce.gif

Nice. They never told me when I went to their shop.

i want change brake pad..which brand is best for daily use..

I guess usually people put Bendix or TRW for better performance brakes (but they take some time to warm up).

For oem, TRW. Aftermarket, TRW XPS (slotted) or AR Racing (slotted & drilled)

Is it ok to go aftermarket or just stick with original?. i can't find the price for original rotor?
*
What you need are ventilated brake discs, that's all. There are tons of youtube videos that prove slotted/drilled are useless for daily use, since your temps won't even reach 800C - of which these brake discs will stand out.

I used to use Brembo brake discs (OEM) with Bendix metal king brake pads on my previous gen2 - very good stopping power, even at 180km/h. Tyres are equally important in this scenario.

And it’s a Punch CVT! Malunye those who kondem Punch CVT by saying 4AT is superior...
*
A lot of people claim so much BS about the CVTs.

I dislike Punch thanks to the clutch system, because it jerks below 30km/h, and it can slip below 10km/h. But after 30km/h, it's really smooth - no jerky feeling when changing gears anymore (compared to the 4AT) (CVT don't have "gears").

Some people said 4AT better hill climb - pure nonsense. I did a hill climb with 4 people in the Iriz, had to press accelerator a little bit only - way better ratios. Even went to Genting with no effort.

Manufacturers are improving the CVT, and it is better than 4AT.

With a low budget, you can get the 70Mai(cylindrical shaped one) or if budget is better, 70Mai Pro. Else those Mijia dashcam is also ok for a low budget. For SD cards, I recommend AVOIDING SANDISK at all cost. Reason is because SanDisk micro SD's corrupt easily on dashcams and action cams. My xiaomi AC used as my front dashcam from time to time will have that buzz due to corrupted file. My bros 70Mai Pro using SanDisk endurance card also corrupted and cannot format. My samsung class 6's no issue.
*
Oh dang, I'm using SanDisk High Endurance for my 70mai doh.gif . I'll look for another one when it corrupts. haha

70mai Pro is better, I think. I'm using the 70mai 1S, the video quality is reasonable. Mine keeps taking pictures when I'm talking in the car (it hears wrongly). But I dislike a "screen" near the windshield anyway, so I prefer these type of dashcam.

Hello,
I drive a 2019 Proton Iriz (premium spec). Loving the car so far; great handling, good build quality, amazing ride
Just one jarring issue la, or maybe it's two
Concerning the fuel consumption.
This one time I was driving around and just before I turned the car off, I checked the range; it displayed "300KM". The car sat perfectly still until I got back in couple of minutes later & turned on the car, the range suddenly displayed "263KM"
That's a pretty big drop and it is very concerning. What's going on??

and since we're on the topic of FC,
what can I do to decrease the speed at which the fuel bars go down?
seriously, the bars go down stupidly fast la despite me driving with the eco light on 97% of the time. Tire pressure also often checked
*
What conditions do you usually drive? Minutes in traffic? Stand still or turtle?

I don't usually pay attention to the "range" because it can be misleading since it's it dependent on the L/100KM. What's your L/100KM usually?

Did your SC remove the battery recently? Mine removed it for a test, and my FC indicator was haywire for a 2 weeks.
