I don't have it. It's with the mechanic, and I doubt he would share it - I bet he got it from Proton itself.LYN PROTON IRIZ OWNER THREAD V9, Fun, meet feisty.

QUOTE(howhow81 @ Nov 18 2019, 03:13 PM) I thought the newer cars would display the problems. I'm not sure about the start stop ignition type, better to just call Proton and pick it up.I'm guessing your gear is in either N or P, and you have pressed the brake pedal la. haha |

QUOTE(wenyiwenyi @ Dec 2 2019, 10:45 PM) My iriz 1.6 has fuel consumption of RM0.21/km which i think are quite high for such small car? The squeaky sound I started having recently when I open/close my driver's window. I'll tell the SC about this during my next service. Sometimes a little of that window oil can fix the issue. After a week I found out : - initial pick up is actually slower than myvi 1.5 maybe because of the car is heavier - suspension and comfort in the car is sooo good, personally think it is better than honda city - driver side window has squeaky sound, anybody know why? FC is hard to comment, but I would say the Iriz 2019's FC is just okay - nothing great, not terrible; well, they're using Non-EEV certified engine (Campro) which is a ~20 year old engine with minor improvements. |

QUOTE(mls_gamer @ Dec 7 2019, 11:51 AM) Just know jerk up my car for install rear antiroll bar, and found out below gearbox part got oil leak....omg. Need meh anti-roll bar for torsion beam set up? It's already stiff enough, right? If your car under warranty, you better go SC and change gearbox sump, and change oil. Maybe entered deep pot hole, because Iriz has quite a high ride height. I remember I was driving my gen2 last time on highway, the hilux in front of me drop his ladder, and it went under my car. Next day went to check, both my oil sumps (engine oil and gearbox) leaking. lel |

QUOTE(macellsprive @ Dec 7 2019, 04:20 PM) My wife iriz, premium 1.6, got problem when to start. Nope. The SC said many customers facing this? Weird. You're pressing the brake pedal before shifting the gear, right? While pressing the brake pedal, press the button on the gear knob, and just pull. If it feels stuck, press the knob again and pull. Or maybe press harder on brake pedal. The gear shift lock is driving her crazy. Sometime already start engine, but cannot pull the gear. Not just sometime la, almost everytime. Most probably takes around 5min just to start the car. This is so irritating. Everytime send to SC, the repairman said it is normal. He said many irritated customer send there and disable the electonic gear shift lock. Cost around RM150 to take out the mechanism out of the car. Anybody here got the same issue? |

QUOTE(wenyiwenyi @ Dec 9 2019, 09:10 PM) For the punctures hole on your bumper, you can send to normal car paint shop and ask them to patch up (usually it's the cement they use + paint touch up). They might have tools to repair the black plastic so that it looks better (currently scratched). I doubt you need to change the entire bumper for this. |

QUOTE(mls_gamer @ Dec 10 2019, 12:46 PM) The proton SC at SEREMBAN told me that oil just grease, is normal. I see, as long as they have stated in their receipt that they have looked into this issue, it would be great. The hole defect area also every proton new car also got.....not a defect...... It can be grease, since it's brown. CVT oil is blue in colour. Really unsure about the defect though |

QUOTE(Helldiver @ Dec 16 2019, 09:54 AM) Just wanna share some update with the rest about my Iriz 1.6 Premium: Hmm, mine's at 9,300km now:About 2 & 1/2 months in, 5,000KM: - Noticed a high-pitched whine coming from the exhaust. Especially obvious on left-rear wheel side. (Anyone else have this?) - Driver-side door rattles on uneven roads, quiet other than that. - Slight rattling behind headunit (common issue, I think) on uneven roads. - Headunit randomly pauses and tells you what song is playing (on Bluetooth); damn irritating. - The automatic headlight is quite disappointing; overly aggressive with cloudy skies and slow to react. - Fuel consumption is averaging around 12.1km/L (50/50 highway/city). - Personal issue: The seat is slightly uncomfortable for me, but I've got a rather big frame. It tenses the shoulders. All in all, fuel consumption is nothing to shout about with this car, so those who are asking how it's like, don't expect too much. The handling does put smiles on everyone faces, however. 1) no high-pitched whine sound for me 2) Are you sure it's the door though? Mine is the seat belt parts. 3) It could be plastic around the head unit, I put some wire / cloth tape between the plastic cover and the dashboard - now no sound. 4) Can't help you on head unit cause I've barely used it - but I did reset last time and it fixed itself (my problem was the radio starts to play auto when I start the car). 5) yeah, I don't really use the sensor, only at night. 6) My FC got waaay better this month thanks to school holidays. 7) If you have long legs, it's worse. I can never get a proper seating position. |
