My 2nd battery is dead, only 14 months.

I'm not sure how some of you can last more than 24 months.

It is due to my short distance drive? Daily 10km city drive to work.

The more u park it under hot sun, the earlier the battery will k.o

Anybody have a year early 2015 iris? How many times did you get your software/ecu/tcu updated? Mine got non..... asked SC here and there all say no software update.

Also anybody got "gear grinding sound" when first time in the morning on aircond?

My original battery lasted 15 months, 2nd battery replaced within 15 months also after found it is weak.....

Now I have this in mind, to get the lowest spec maintenance free battery....replace it once it exceeds 12 months, of course if it is still good i will continue use another 2-3 months.

GP Silver (lowest spec) NS60R RM180
GP Platinum (highest spec) NS60R RM220

cheapskate a bit take refill type lo...RM165

Mine too, The grinding sound is from the A/C compressor I think.

Only happens when you cold start your car.

Majority ori proton ramcar batter can get 2yr+ even 3yr+ battery life.

Mine also 2yr+

Hi gaiz, i'm new here (iriz and forum) i buy used iriz premium, and after several months, my car buat hal macam syaitan, when this symbol pop up my car suddenly hard to turn off the engine or turn it on, yesterday about an hour i cannot turn of the engine, had to call proton careline and they ask me to cabut negative side battery and wait for 20 minutes. It works.

Early month ago my car suddenly cannot unlock all the door accept bonet, and I try using only driver side unlock and it work, immediately go to SC Lukut, and i told them about this pop up problem and what happen when this symbol up. And then they said already done and nothing problem anymore.

And yesterday the most hated time i have ever had. Dah la marka tinggalkan aku, kereta buat kelakar macam ni, kelakalahidupkuni.

Cannot turn on engine?

Car lock can refer manual. Sad thing is, try and frequently used both key. If not, will be like me, car can't detect my spare key.

2015, only when the symbol pop up my car suddenly just hard to start and off the engine, had to push several times and hoping for a miracle.

Nothing crank, last night just change a new battery coz yesterday when i tried to turn the engine on dia tetiba buat hal lagiiiii, it takes 1 hour after unplugged the negative side battery, tonight i will try to turn it on again, this problem happen when i parked my car 24 hour without using it. And if happen again, I'm going SC tomorrow, already record a video to make them understand about my problem here, coz when i send to SC Lukut they just said that's problem is impossible.

Not enough long distance travel i think, need to give more time to batt to fully recharge it.

I also do daily around 10km only, but monthly got few 1-2hr drives, occasionally the balik kg 10hr drive.
My 2nd batt is cheap century wet-type, topup water every month, already 20 months now. once a while need long crank as it showing the age.

I know its quite rare tat this happend, I think my rear view mirror joint rosak, its very loose now, though still can hold its position, but cannot use the flip to adjust angle to avoid glare now. wonder can claim for replacement or if they have spare parts for it.

Looks like I'm not the only one...anyone else? If there's many, we can highlight it as a manufacturing defect!

My friend's Persona also has loose rear mirror, CoSE replace it for free.

hmm.. then like this i try ask in my next service 3 months later to c if can get it replace for free.. hope can..

Got mine replaced foc before since the car still under warranty. But the new one has started to become loose again recently. LOL
