Aaah i see .. I'm on 21.1.4.24 ... Any way to kickstart the update process for Ultra? So far only PVR boxes only got manual online on how to initiate the process.

Need to ask.. Since all the old packages have been revamped, what happens to the Value Pack Customers? I'm on Value Pack 2 + Sports. This is so confusing...

Guys please help me out. I am worried regarding the new packages that are being offered by Astro.

1. Currently I'm subscribed to Value Pack 2 (Namma Pack) + Sports. I have not made any changes to these packages on the web yet. What I'm worried now is do we have to jump to the new packs? If not, will we be automatically be shifted to the new packs?

2. What is up with Astro and pop-up channels? All the movies being played are waay outdated. Instead, why didn't they just upgrade Vellithirai ? (Can someone from astro please answer this?)

3. What's up with the Astro Ultra's UI getting too laggy after each update? My box has an odd thing where u have to click the power button TWICE for the Ultra box too turn on.

4. My Ultra box also has this weird issue where when you leave it on standby and boot it later, you will get a "Getting Satellite Frequency" page where it scans for something for more than 20 minutes. Why is this happening? Factory reset wont do anything to this.

Still no solution for this. Very annoying. Can anyone help me please. It just happens quite frequently when left my Ultra box in standby. Even if i let it finish it will say failed.

Sorry for my incomplete post. During the first time I sent that, a technician already came to the house and reset the box. He then said the issue she be resolved. And then the same problem started to appear, this time we told them it happened frequently. The 2ns technician then proceeded to check the cables n stuffs and said it was okay. During this week it happened way too frequently and we got mad at this point. This time the technician opened up a report for me after inspecting the satellite. And like I guessed the installer that came to swap the ultra box DID NOT REPLACE THE RECEIVER. Hence they helped me to open a report to change the Universal LNB to dCSS for free. And today the problem is solved.

Yes the actually did. They told us that the installer should have replaced it during the Ultra box installation. We decided not to inspect further.

I mean we didnt care much since my tv is not 4K capable. It started to piss us when the scanning thingy popped up too frequently. Now when I tune to CH780 I hear only the audio hahaha. The installer did recoomend me a splitter ard RM200 but we rejected it cuz too mahal. Now just browsing around for a cheaper splitter that can bypass the HDCP thingy. Do tag me if there is a working one.

The very first one came to reset the box and thats it. Second one checked to see if the cables are faulty. Only the third one managed to identify the outdoor unit and opened up a report for me. After the 3rd technicians visit the installer came ON THE SAME DAY to replace the Universal LNB to dCSS. Quite surprised why the last 2 didnt check the outdoor unit haha.

True. Its very annoying to see them call us to 'upgrade our pack to the newest one". As for me it is a huge loss as we will lose access to ABO Thangathirai. Even worse is for new customers. My sister recently called Astro to survey on their packs to install astro. She wanted a monthly commitment of ard RM 120ish ... She just wanted Primary with Sports and Indian Chnnels. However, the new Assteruk's package do not allow her to add on Indian Favourites when she chose Primary + Sports. When asked to the Astro CS they dpnt seem to give a solution (Just ignore chat) after we deny the offer to Premium Pack 1 ... What is so hard for Astro to just maintain the legacy packs?

Not everyone wants to use yr apps in the box. Even if they do so, they can actually use their existing email and password to log in to the app in the Ultra Box. Very irritated to see Astro doing silly things. She has been waiting for a week not knowing what to subscribe.

Hello I need some clarification ... One of my friend's house they wanted to install Ultra box. They have settled in with appointments and all and suddenly the installer said cannot install bcs something 'internet' is weak or smtg. I got confused bcs they didnt sign up for any internet, Only Astro. They just wanted to watch astro without having the recording feature. But then the installer was talking something very technical and told them to go refer the management office of the apartment. I have a video of what the installer sent. Can anyone kindly see what exactly he meant?

Can someone please explain on why there is a fibre when all they wanted is a damn Astro to watch?

Thing was they did not sign up for any Internet. They just applied Astro knowing they can only watch the channels. They are aware they can't record nor stream On Demand. They just wanted the basic of Astro and that is to have satellite TV.
