The channels seemed to work fine yesterday night, but today it has gone back worse. Almost all channel gets pixelated. When exactly will this issue resolve?

I tried this just for the sake of fixing the signal issue. It was initially on "Universal" but after clicking the drop down menu it shows a tick at dCSS. I tried choosing dCSS again and then I got the second menu (the one with test and manage options). At this point I completely lost my signal. When I tried running the test it shows failed (idk why) and the manage option requires 20 minutes (which I cancelled cuz too long). I tried choosing dCSS again and then went for 02 M3B VL 10932. The signal quality was excellent but still I didn't receive any broadcast.

At this point I got fed up and returned to 01 M3B VL 10732. And this time it works. However, the test still fails but I have no problem watching channels (except for the artifacts la).

So now, my question is, what on earth is my Astro Ultra running on? 😅

dCSS ? Universal? SatCR?

Now dCSS but before meddling with the settings it was Universal. I'm confused on so many level.

UPDATE: I can't watch any SD channels. Ayoooo Astro what is this?

It is now showing dCSS as my Input type. Before this it was Universal, but dCSS will be ticked in the dropdown.

Yes it's Astro Vellithirai but it's running via Internet... The Switch Now thingy. Hopefully they fix this tomorrow la. 😔 My mom always watches old movies in this channel every morning. She still haven't got used to this Ultra box.

Anyone here facing the issue where all the SD channels cant be watched but HD has no issue?

223 too. They need more time I guess.

As for me I lost the signal for CH 223. But upon checking in fb there are people complaining that they too have lost several channels like 335 etc.

The artifacts are back?! And it's worse this time.

Unlikely the dish because some channels are clear while some shows very bad artifacts. Channels like 203, 204, 212, 213, 214, 223 now shows SCNA or very bad artifacts.

Tried doing the self-troubleshooting from the astro website. The signal strength is above 70 ... But what's with the quality tho? Think I should call the technician la. Hopefully it's free as I just upgraded to Ultra last month.

That's why. In FB it seems there are some customers complaining they lost their reception again this evening. Idk what is happening but I bave submitted a ticket for myself anyhow. Let's just wait for miracles from Astro.

The tuner signal again starting to jump between low and high. Hope I don't get any interruption.

Also, lately every time I turn on the Ultra box I'm getting the "Updating Signal Frequency" screen. I can easily exit but I don't think the elderly can exit those things. Why is this happening tho?

Means they are sending it through courier?
After receiving can review? Haha. Curious to see the changes to the box.

Lately it seems there are a lot of reductions in the channel listing. Does Astro have any plans in bringing new channels anytime soon?

Seeing all these channels getting replaced and also witnessing how they STILL cant upgrade Tutor TV and Vellithirai to HD and end the SD era for Astro in house channels. Dammit Astro why you do this? 😭😂😭😂😭

True .. yet can't they ditch that channel and bring something else. Because Vellithirai is very well known for its fame back then. Even till now it stands as a channel you would see people watching in most houses. This is also because Vaanavil despite being refreshed as HD their content usually is not received by all very well (in short the shows are hambar laaa) .. so it's quite odd for Astro to not refresh Vellithirai rather than Vaanavil ... Also the contents being played in Vellithirai is also shown in ABO Thangathirai in HD for some reason.

Astro I think is failing to get the broadcasting rights la. Because the movies they put out is ancient or even being thoroughly repeated in other channels first. It never got a chance to stand out better by giving movies that are rarely played in other channels. If any Astro staff reading this listen up ... Vellithirai is what you should focus, not Vaanavil. I'll quarrel here repeatedly until I can watch my fav evergreen movies in HD hahahah.
