Finally received my Plug-and-Play Ultra Box today.

I tried to swap the remote control from this new P&P Ultra Box and use it with my existing Dish Ultra Box .. all buttons work except the new "Back", "Fast Forward" and Volume keys don't work on the old Ultra Box.

My P&P Ultra Box is connected to a LAN cable direct to router. I am on Time Fibre 1GB. However, the network speed test I get on this P&P Ultra Box is no more than 30 Mbps.

Astro is really expensive but the show is just the same, and the service is poor, not like the old one, cause the old astro had more interactive features

I think Astro will only give multiroom PnP Ultra STB to those who has Ulti/Ultra STB main boxes. Therefore, Astro can check that both main decoder and the multiroom decoder must have the same IP address. If not, the multiroom decoder will be disabled.

But if Astro gives out PnP Ultrabox multiroom to peple with Astro PVR main decoder, then....      

[Main decoder("Mac & LAN IP") -----+------- 2nd decoder ("Mac & LAN IP") ] -----connect to router------- = Final Destination (Public IP)

Public IP is the same

At least Kristal Astro customers has access to TV1 and TV2 in Brunei. Otherwise, they can also use UHF fishbone antenna to receive Malaysian digital terrestrial TV signals, so they can still watch some of the Olympics content over RTM channels including Sukan RTM channel too.

Maybe the viewers demand isn't there, therefore Kristal Astro don't wanna spend much money to have an official broadcaster license for Brunei.

Also, Astro Arena channel isn't available in Brunei too.

Basically I am interested in the Astro Ultra P&P box for the 4K content. Up till now, the regular Astro Ultra box was unavailable to IPTV customers who get the internet through Time.

So, for me to get the Ultra P&P without terminating IPTV, I can add it as a 2nd box for Multiroom subscription?

Thanks for the info - I called the IPTV Department and according to the person I spoke to, it is still not possible for them to support the Ultra Plug & Play box (irregardless of whether I'm using as my main decoder or as an additional multi-room box).

Sigh, ever since the Astro Broadband partnership with Maxis, it sounds like they really have no interest in supporting those of us who are using Time IPTV

does the ultra box support bluetooth audio if i wish to watch with wireless headphone ? If its not then any alternative ?

I have a problem regarding the “Recording”

I found a lot of show that I recording is starting from the middle. Let’s say the show total is 120minutes, but it only record 55min (include end of show).

can you guys share how you all use the recording features?

** Astro PDF guide didn’t clear regarding this feature.

Which programme/channel is it?
You select Record Series or just this episode?

For example:
Channel: History
Title: Hiroshima & Nagasaki 75 Years Later
Time: 120min
When I switch into the History channel, the show already run at the 60min, so I choose to record & switch to watch other channel.

At night, when I play it from the library, this title recorded is starting from the 60min instead from the beginning.

Wonder the Olympic channel open until when…

Mmm, seems like a mistake to me..... Anyway, just ignore that SMS if you aren't interested lol
