Movies Pack and News Pack customers: DAMN YOU! This is not fair! All this while I've got all these channels already! I want discount!

Sports pack customers (before 18 March) can access to ALL channels until 30 April mah.
So for those who have subscribed to Movies pack and/or News pack, you can consider cancel the package until whenever the complimentary viewing is over and you feel like subscribe again. 
Do note that any package cancellation/changes that result in lower or same monthly fee will charge RM10 switching fee, and it will only take effect on the next billing cycle (not immediate).

Imagine the subscription money we pay to Astro, some of it will go to those people to do censorship and replacing to Astro ads. What logic????

Eh, I couldn't watch Cartoon Network anymore, it shows "Channel not included in your subscription". I think it is since earlier midnight.
System mistakes? 
For those who didn't subscribe to Kids pack and Sports pack, are you able to watch Cartoon Network, now?

Seems like those with legacy box are still not axed.

Some were puzzled on how come Astro AOD ch311 and ch351 is now showing the same thing (simulcast SD/HD)?
Which means now, if you missed that particular HK series's 8.30pm episode premiere and you want to watch the repeat,
you got to wait till 10.30pm instead of 9.30pm on the catch up channel (e.g. previously on CH351) like what you used to have.
Basically is, 2 hours interval.

And the topic of "both TVB Jade and Astro AOD 311/351 airs the same premiere episode at the same time" arises and more people are aware of that now.
Some would say, "What's the point of still having Astro AOD now?" Hmmm, sounds like Astro AOD is becoming irrelevant to today's era, don't you think?

Many many many years ago, Astro AOD (previously "Astro On Demand") indeed is an add-on.
I remember how much it costs:
RM39.95/month - Dynasty Pack customer
RM54.95/month - Without Dynasty Pack customers

Back then, they call it "Astro On Demand Dragon Pack" somemore.... 

Then later on, Astro AOD is now bundled with Dynasty Pack (and the bill charges are revised accordingly).
And that's where Astro AOD starts to have commercials breaks every 15 minutes especially on episode premiere at 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
Before that, Astro On Demand is commercial-free.

But weird thing is, why is this issue starts today?
Previous days I try using Astro Go, no issue also.

Even "Connected PVR" users are facing some issues now.

Already been enjoying no monthly fee, still want more and more stuff. They open up Nat Geo Wild and Kix channels for Njoi customers for free is "considered give face already".
Regardless of Njoi or Astro customers, because of the partial lockdown, forced to stay at home, and nothing else to watch, they're expecting them to open all sorts of channels for free, or otherwise give refund/discount for all sorts of reasons.

Now Astro customer service is experiencing like a tsunami. They couldn't tahan anymore to entertain those customers...
Too many are asking to open all sort of channels for free. They think Astro is very rich because of decades of monopoly, so they're expecting to offer free gifts like Santa Claus 🤣
Come on la, at this point of time, everyone is facing huge losses, and Astro is no exception. They have a lot of things to consider in the long term, plus with this COVID-19 outbreak that affects worldwide, it's not going to be easy for anyone.

And with all those people keep bombarding their customer service, hoping them to open more channels, where the same similar questions have been asked over and over again by many. Seriously, those people should refrain from bargaining or persuading them further, as there are ones out there who really in need of assistance from Astro, especially those who face technical difficulties for days and weeks, are not able to get help from Astro, like those who face technical difficulties like no signal due to dish misalignment, Astro IPTV service down, follow up complaint cases, and so on?

I've seen enough of comments on Astro Facebook page where some have waited so long on the phone and still no one attends to them, and the queue number spike up as high as 40+ (means 40+ customers are in the queue for your turn to speak to you). Especially those using mobile prepaid plan (and don't have unlimited call ones), their phone credit were finished up because of that long wait. WhatsApp live chat that disconnects automatically without an agent attend to them after 30+ mins of waiting. I believe from what we all can observe on Astro Facebook page, we can roughly get a picture on what's going on Astro customer service there now. You barely see much of Astro CS agents in charge would use the same copy-paste answers to reply to those comments like those days anymore, which left many comments and general questions unanswered.
Customers want Astro to be "considerate" with them, so they keep bombarding them to open up more channels bcuz they say Astro shouldn't be so selfish.
But at the end of the day, who's selfish now? Astro, or those people that keep call up and ask to open up more channels?


Sometimes I wonder, is that a karma?

Let alone all major sports events have been postponed like Premier League, UEFA...
Astro where got mood to give discounts to customers if those sports content provider in the western countries aren't compensating much or at all, to the pay TV providers 🙃

Now, whenever Astro opens up a category of channels, for sure some will happy, some will feel it's unfair, thinking that Astro is being selfish and bias.
Give also make noise, no give also make noise, do nothing also make noise.
Even if Astro open up channels, they still have to pay for content also.
Cartoon channels, maybe?
Those parents expect Astro to open up cartoon channels for free, since their kids were forced to stay at home, and cannot sit still.
If they want cartoon channels, they can just subscribe to Kids pack.
If don't want to fork out the money for it, then they might as well just watch cartoons on somewhere else, like YouTube or Netflix.

Anyhow, Astro seems to make a final decision already, where these are the only offers to its customers. So to those people, just stop bargaining.

So if you're still not happy, you might as well consider terminate and stop using Astro/Njoi services for good, or just be thankful and grateful for whatever Astro offers to you. Take it or leave it.

Irony that astro cloud sevices still have issues despite using Amazon one.

Customers can upgrade to new hybrid DTH and IP enabled 4K UHD set-top boxes with the new UX and cloud-based recording (cDVR) features. This allows users to access the recordings on their DVR at home as well as using the Astro Go app

Ahhh... Maybe there's new agreement going on between Astro and HBO, and that's how Njoi get those channels on prepaid.

Ultra Box & Astro Go users: Why like this??     

This happened to me 3 times already if not mistaken.

I have recorded program. When I fast forwarded the program, the UBox just turned off. No light at all as if PSU is off. Press and hold power button would not reset the unit. I have to power down the adapter and then power up to get the unit functioned again.

Bug?

Astro has confirmed that one of its staff members have been tested positive for COVID-19.

The main point I wanna highlight in this post is the SMS that reads "Patuhilah Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) sambil menonton Astro. Jelas bil AC 8xxxxxx berjumlah RMxx.xx"

Indirectly, it means "Enjoy watching Astro during MCO, and pay your f**king outstanding bills now!"

They're trying to tell you that you still need to pay your Astro bill no matter what.
And yeah, no discount/rebate, no late payment or whatsoever. If insist not paying, potong your account 
If you got financial problem (since many ppl get unpaid leave to even lose their jobs), that's your problem.
Astro bill, you still have to pay full, and no excuses are allowed. 

I think Astro staffs are quite stress today, so they want to relive old memories with the long dead Astro Hitz and E!.

And, Naura has become TV Okey? Own self declare channel change? I didn't know that TV Okey is one of the best Malay entertainment channel till the point it is part of Njoi prepaid channels.    


Is Astro hiring? Their job scope is copy pasting stuff is it? If yes, then I think we should consider apply a job on Astro, since we all can do copy pasting job from home.
