Honestly, the design for the card is really nice, but consume too much power, and the card's temperature is very high... correct me if wrong edit: Link This post has been edited by RokXIII: Jun 9 2007, 11:53 PM |

Those with vista might want to check out the Call of Juarez DX10 demo (it's a big download though at almost 700Mb). The rolling benchmark is quite pretty but performs worse than CoH DX10. I'm getting 40+ max and 27+ fps avg in the benchmark.
System specs: 3.07Ghz c2d + 8800GTX @ stock. This is on 1280x0124, high profile, with MSAA at 4x, shadowmaps 2048x2048, normal shadow resolution. |

Do take note, don't always judge a card performance using a demo. Demo are not complete version and there's still lots of bugs/bad coding around.

Oh... I thought the Juarez is simply a patch to Dx10 like Company of Heroes. It actually a demo.. pardon me.
missed the word demo... *But seeing two demos already and the current Dx10 cards are somehow struggling with them... I can only hope that it really is bad coding/bugs... or else |

wow, that's nice. Don't know will nvidia release their 89xx series with dual core inside, hoping that it will not consume too much power...

Could be during the time when AMD ATI midrange card is out I guess. What is interesting is 8800 Ultra massive price cut. Guru3D once said it will reach USD599 after June. We'll see.

Side by side comparison when it comes to gaming wise, would the 8500GT DDR3 be better than the 7300GT DDR3?
