I got questions to forumers:
1. can register for new unifi mobile again after successful porting out?
2. how many numbers can you register with unifi mobile?

have a question..
let say if i have 1gb 3g/lte data and 10gb lte data If i'm connect to 4g, will it use all my 3g data first (1gb) before using the 10gb lte data or the other way round - use 10gb lte data until quota finish and then use 1gb 3g/lte data? |

QUOTE(ultimateyc @ Jul 2 2018, 05:09 PM) have a question.. If your phone and area supporting LTE, will utilize 4G 1st follow by 3G. If your area no LTE, only 3G can be used.let say if i have 1gb 3g/lte data and 10gb lte data If i'm connect to 4g, will it use all my 3g data first (1gb) before using the 10gb lte data or the other way round - use 10gb lte data until quota finish and then use 1gb 3g/lte data? |

QUOTE(ultimateyc @ Jul 2 2018, 05:09 PM) have a question.. Even though UniFi Mobile system is configured to consume LTE first, but if the device/smartphone keeps alternating between HSDPA and LTE, then, eventually the 3G quota will be exhausted.let say if i have 1gb 3g/lte data and 10gb lte data If i'm connect to 4g, will it use all my 3g data first (1gb) before using the 10gb lte data or the other way round - use 10gb lte data until quota finish and then use 1gb 3g/lte data? So, ensure that your device / smartphone to "always lock" to FDD-LTE Band 5, or TDD-LTE Band 38, or TDD-LTE Band 40. The caveats by doing this is that IF the device / smartphone can't detect any signal of FDD-LTE Band 5, or TDD-LTE Band 38, or TDD-LTE Band 40, then, you will not be getting any incoming call or SMS or WhatsApp because the device is simply in "virtual airplane" mode due to the lock to LTE has disabled the auto-connection to Celcom HSDPA... This is where dual-SIM phone is important...we can set SIM 1 to always lock to LTE to connect to UniFi Mobile for data access while SIM 2 is the primary number which is always connecting to 2G/3G to receive calls/SMS. If both SIMs are under UniFi Mobile, SIM 2 will constantly connect to Celcom HSDPA (aka 2G or 3G depending on device/smartphone). Most smartphones can only allow one SIM to connect to data at one time. Only Huawei flagship has the "Dual SIM 4G" features at the moment... But don't confuse the "Dual SIM 4G" feature as both SIMs download data simultaneously...it just enable SIM 1 to connect to LTE (for data, call, SMS and VoLTE ) and SIM 2 to LTE (for call, SMS and VoLTE only without data download or upload)... So, if targeting to use dual-SIM smartphone, ensure the battery capacity is above 4,000 mAh because both SIM 1 & SIM 2 are constantly hunting for best signal strength from nearby cell tower(s)... QUOTE(aizamev @ Jul 1 2018, 10:22 PM) notice that some area unifi mobile roaming to LTE on 50211 service. at 1st no data connection. then i set on roaming at wifi modem and there you go, LTE on 50211 is more reliable. speed test showed it spike up to 30mbps then drop to 10mbps cause i use bebas plan. normally unifi mobile connected to 502153 service. Yeah sometimes it shows up as TM Touch in my mobile router, so I guess TM integrates legacy P1 and TM Touch’s base stations alongside with the new unifi mobile’s base stations.check on web, 502153 is under Packet one (p1) and 50211 is under telekom malaysia. |
