QUOTE(ben3003 @ Apr 18 2018, 10:46 AM) if i gonna use a modem, what band should i look into? why i saw ppl say band 5 is not supported but everywhere else saying unifi mobile only using band 5? Most places where Unifi mobile has 4G coverage will have Band 5. The places with Bands 38/40 (faster performance) as well are a bit more limited at the moment. |

If someone buys the BEBAS Weekly, which one will be used first, the BEBAS package or the remaining Free 4G Data?

I suspect jayko's problem was he never popped the SIM into his phone to activate the line until it was too late.

QUOTE(lokgotz @ Jul 4 2018, 10:59 AM) Thanks! The coverage map provided by a telco should only be regarded as a rough guide.1&2. My phone supports Band 5, 38 and 40. My bad there. Should've made it clearer. It's a new phone (Redmi Note 5) so I doubt it has a weak antenna. Not sure. 3. Most probably it's due to this but I'm located right in the middle of the coverage area. Not border. Will check using Open Signal. Thanks for the help. EDIT: Installed Open Signal and checked. 4G coverage is spotty at best. The map in Open Signal and unifi's own coverage map is so different. I know the reason why I can't connect to 4G now. |

QUOTE(shahie @ Aug 5 2018, 06:04 AM) Hi Actually no need to top up that often. After the initial topup, just use it occasionally. To me, i need to maintained my second line (goldern no) with the least cost, so with unifi mobile just RM10 reload for every 2 months 29 days, consider cheapest among others. lol |

The Unifi coverage map is too optimistic for 4G coverage. For example, the map shows near blanket 4G coverage for Penang island, but walking around town I kept getting dropped to H, especially indoors. And once it goes down to 3G, it's very hard to get back to 4G (have to turn on and off Aeroplane Mode).
