On Sunday, my phone was in the house all day with aeroplane mode on but with WiFi on also.

The VoWiFi feature on my Huawei phone meant I could still make/receive calls/SMS without the cellular signal on. This has proved to be a great battery saver as I can leave the phone on WiFi-only mode.

Interesting... didn't realize they've started to roll out the feature for other phones. Coincides with VoWiFi overseas as well maybe...

Yes, but immediately after turning it on I switch on WiFi again.

Can you try turn off airplane mode and just let it simultaneously on cellular and wifi network? I have call drop quite often unless I use either one of them. Just want ppl here to test out if they do have same experience.

My phone is set to give WiFi calling priority, but it can be set to give cellular calling priority.

Seems to be working well enough if both cellular and WiFi are on. No dropped calls (but I make very few calls, more receiving).

The order of priority on my phone seems to be:
  1. VoWiFi
  2. VoLTE
  3. calls over 3G/2G

Dunno, Digi will have to support your phone model.

There's nothing much you can do at your end.
