QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 4 2018, 04:06 PM) I think better not complain too much. Later TM give this. “In lieu of the 25% discount, we are giving you a 33% speed upgrade. Please restart router to enjoy your new 133Mbps speed.” Then you do Speedtest and only get 106Mbps, TM say best effort 80%. 106-109 is what I’m getting now. So we all back to square 1 while TM mission accomplished. I think you can expect that. TM without a doubt will not want to reduce its current subscribers' monthly commitment to them. Historically, when a directive to "reduce" broadband prices is given, TM always comes up with sweetener upgrades ie. faster speeds or free calls with a small increase (RM 10/20) in monthly fees so you end up paying a little more to them every month to enjoy "cheaper" broadband.

QUOTE(ahpek26 @ Jul 9 2018, 02:33 AM) I didn't say I can't watch any videos, i'm just saying it loads so slow I thought I was on dial-up. What do you mean it "loads slow"? Are the videos stuttering? 1080p quality, smooth playback for me... https://streamable.com/mgxvo

QUOTE(chrischiang @ Jul 9 2018, 02:56 PM) alot ppl had mentioned C1200 is a bad router.. other than what you mentioned could you explain more? i'm using it with 100Mbps since day 1 unifi gave it to me.. random reboot so far no encounter ( mayb it happen during midnight while im asleep).. starting is freak slow.. but we usually leave it on for 24/7 right? Im staying in single storey house and i could get 100mbps/50mbps download and upload speed pair with tplink t6e card.. my phone aso could get to such speed.. my colleague been poisoning me to change to asus ac68u.. but i couldnt convince myself.. afterall i felt C1200 not that bad... Same. After using it for 7 months I don't think it is that bad. It can stream two 1080p live soccer matches at once to my iPad and android box and I have a minimum of 7 devices connected to it all the time...

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Jul 9 2018, 08:26 PM) IMO, considerring TM will slowly upgrade us, it is good to have a decent router. It doesn't have to be super expensive router with tons of features, just a better one compare to what is given by TM. That way you can better utilise the connection speed and stable performance. For all that complaint regarding WiFi not getting full speed etc, mostly it's related to not so good performance router. Real life throughput if very different from theoretical best-case marketing numbers. Tom's Guide

QUOTE(Hitman190 @ Jul 10 2018, 09:05 PM) Twitch non stop buffering but internet speeds is okay, Unifi's routing is screwed so many times lately. Same. I changed IP a few days back and noticed slow down for certain websites during peak time at night. I don't watch Twitch but it is buffering. Heavy graphics sites like giphy.com takes forever to load as well. Sites like ebay.com also slow to load with max 2Mbps. Speedtest to Singtel in SG with high ping and less than 5Mbps download for 100Mbit account.

QUOTE(EroS @ Jul 11 2018, 09:48 PM) Twitch streams starts to buffer already. Yup, the nightly peak hour traffic shaping starts around 9pm. QUOTE(go626201 @ Jul 11 2018, 09:50 PM) Mine still smooth smooth for watching taiwan's streamer. [attachmentid=9909909] Some sites only affected and the speedtest to Singtel-SG will tank during this peak hour period and will recover around midnight. QUOTE(Xefron @ Jul 11 2018, 10:17 PM) I am not sugar coating TM, but my connection always OK during the night. Not all sites affected. I can still stream 8K videos smoothly on Youtube. But for eg., Twitch will be buffering for a measly 1080p video. Giphy which will normally load at spped in excess of 50+Mbps will only load at less than 3Mbps when the traffic is being shaped. Ping to Singtel-SG will increase to 100+ms and download speed will be less than 5Mbps. At other times, my ping to Singtel-SG is around 10ms with 100+Mbps download.

QUOTE(go626201 @ Jul 11 2018, 10:45 PM) Only 147.158.x.x ip range having issue in last 2-3 weeks every night, and Netflix didn't having issue with ipv6. Any ipv6 server can reach full speed. From last week seems like maintenance had been done.So far my connection is good to any hosts. So i think your connection got something wrong or TM doing maintenance to your network at night. Try see your youtube with ipv6 smooth or not.If smooth than confirm TM fault. I think anyone recently having speed drop issue, may cause by TM's maintenance for the Unifi Turbo?? So your problem solved already? I remember you were complaining about your connection recently?

QUOTE(ahpek26 @ Jul 12 2018, 10:13 PM) I liked that argument, I do. It's like your saying it's not their job, right? Cool. Except I used a free proxy and magically it buffers smooth. No proxy speed around 1Mbps to 3Mbps. With a proxy it's 9Mbps to 20Mbps. One might argue the proxy has a better connection towards Twitch CDN, which is true. So then whose fault is it? Why are you defending TM anyways, you got stock in them or something? Try this online proxy... https://www.croxyproxy.com/Can stream 1080p without any problems.

QUOTE(handsomeahbeng @ Jul 13 2018, 11:14 PM) go livechat show proof with your speedtest result to singapore and malaysia. U tell them routing issue and give the livechat team 0 rating + write in comment issue not fixed. They will call u straight away and fix. Hmm, recently when I'm having this peak hour issue https://unifi.com.my takes forever to load and once it loads I can't even log in. It just keeps spinning... Those with no problems can log in to https://unifi.com.my, right?

QUOTE(Ebony & Ivory @ Jul 13 2018, 11:37 PM) to reach 500mbps on wifi, the router/ap and wifi adapter need to be rated at ac1200 n above. that router seem ok, but i not sure how it perform in long term. for wifi adapter, can get tplink t4u, around RM80+ at lelong if i am not wrong. https://www.tp-link.com/my/products/details...Archer-T4U.htmlThat adapter is a a 2x2 spatial stream with max 867Mbps on 5GHz. I highly doubt, even with the adapter and wifi router next to each other that one would be able to achieve 500Mbps throughput. To attain 500/800Mbps wifi speeds in real world conditions consistently, the router and wifi adapter on the client needs to be at least a 3x3 spatial stream with max 1300Mbps on 5GHz.
