Can watch 4k netflix in smart tv or by ps4 device?whith 1tb video walla?

Has anybody tried to connect the Huawei B618 to a switch or other LAN devices? I need 3 LAN ports but seems like it only has one LAN port the other is WAN port

Yeah, currently the CELCOM broadband is package with Huawei router, but I am not sure which model.
currently I try to use the Maxis line (data plan) in my HP to connect as wireless WIFI..the signal is very weak when I put at downstair, even watch in same level living hall area..

how can we know whether the router is strong enough ? any spec in the machine can tell ?

For smart TV, do we know which line of spec can tell us their wireless reception strength ?

That means for 8k video quality, must get the high end Unify with 100MBPS speed ?

I would like to ask if watching netflix in smart tv ​​also deducting video walla data  Or will it deduct network data?

Is there anyway to differentiate Video Walla data usage from the Network Data usage ?

I had problem too on May 18. Suddenly no connection (no signal bar at all) for few minutes and later it became on and off 2 bars and 1 bar. After half and hour it went back to normal

But I can watch 4k resolution in youtube without any buffered. Any idea to lock or setting in netflix for 4k ?

Anybody know why download speed of Celcom Home Wireless has gone down to 2.0 MBps since yesterday?

When did you get your Huawei B618 router? I am guessing the older batches are not Simlock. I applied for mine on 19th May. If you do apply best have it check before you leave the Blue Cube center. Put in a different telco sim card in and if the Mode light on the router is a solid red then it probably is locked. Best put in the Celcom sim card in 1st to test the router is working as intended (all aqua blue colour lights lit up) and then put in a different telco sim card. Another way to test is to go to 192.168.8.1 of the router and the 1st thing you will see is router is locked if a different simcard is in.

Hope Celcom don't decide to update the firmware of the router to be simlock after couple months in. Blue Cube didn't have the code to unlock it and it stays lock to Celcom according to the Blue Cube I went to.

It works? I tried this with phones and it doesnt work tho. If it works, it's a miracle.

But what I understand is that, when you turn on any telecommunication device, it will send a signal to like a server with a database full of IMEIs. Then it will check for ur device's IMEI inside. If found inside like a "locked" section of the database, then will return "LOCKED" or watever they want the server to return. Otherwise, it will let it run.

That is what I read from last time somewhere on how IMEI blocking works. Can't find it right now.

well guess what.. celcom just unblock behance.net and adobe.com. they call me just now.. ahahahaha.. now im so happy.

Just subscribed Celcom home internet 70 plan yesterday. Realized that the modem is simlocked now. Anyone managed to unlock it so far?

You need to bring your router to Huawei Service Centre @ Amcorp Mall to unlock the device. Alternatively, you can pay a small fees to Celcom Blue Cube to unlock your device.

Another thing is, Celcom didn't provides convenient way to check internet usage. I tried the Celcom Life app, forever can't get the SMS for registration. Today I made another testing, to use my current Celcom postpaid number to register. I managed to login, and I can change the service number to my home internet number inside the app. But.... The app shows my balance as 0. Something's wrong with the apps I  think.

You need to use Celcom Online Customer Service (OCS) to check your usage. There are no way to check your balance via Android or iOS device.

is there any charges if bring the modem to Huawei Service Centre @ Amcorp Mall to unlock?

Very pissed off you can only check your normal data through celcom website but cant track your walla/video data.
