Do you mean Celcom or Digi?
*
Both also encounter the same issue. The maximum speed allocated for each cell tower is only 400mbps. This could dramatically slow down the connection during peak hours.

Bye bye Celcom Wireless Broadband for cancelling Netflix in Video Walla without notifying customers. Adios!!

Have you purchase the Prepaid Digi sim card to test first before subscribe to Digi Infinite 150? Peak hours sometimes can drop till 1.XX mbps only.

QUOTE(visualfoley @ Jul 21 2018, 08:02 PM)
i thought rm200 for registration ?
*
Yes. But not sure why he paid RM300 (1 month in advance).

I thought Digi 150 infinite speed is bad
*
Yes. If peak hours will be slow but non peak hours will be extremely fast (subjected to the area coverage).

try for a month or two, then check the connection. my first two month the connection can reach until 70mbps, but now its suck. yesterday i call them bcoz the speedtest that i get is 240kbps.. KBPS!!!!!
*
You need to ask them to launch an official report to their network team to check the network connection and given them the time frame that the speed is drop tremendously.

Seems like they becoming like Digi 150 infinite in-term of speed (not the data quota)
*
When the number of users who access the internet become higher, the speed will be reduced tremendously. Especially during weekends.

QUOTE(visualfoley @ Jul 22 2018, 03:26 PM)
normally their network team will call me, but until now still nothing. but the speed is ok ok.
but still i need to watch 4k!!!!
*
I don't think you can watch 4K videos smoothly during peak hours. As I realized the speed can drop from 50mbps to 8mbps during peak hours. The highest resolutions you can proceed is 1440p instead of 2160p.

i dont have that setting on my smart tv, if youtube yes it have that function.
now im looking for TIME, but still they ddnt reach my house. but on their map shows that less than 2km from my house got TIME installed. sigh
*
Me too. Beside my neighbors house there is a high rise building with TIME coverage, and the area to support is limited within the building only. According to TIME support, we need to lodge a report to them to seek for new coverage within our residential area, then only they will do something to our area. Bear in mind the speed for TIME is excellent, more than 100mbps for every speed test done at my friends house despite during peak hours.

err.. can you try to explain to a newbie like me ?
*
Once you download Huawei HManager to your Android devices, you can lock the band for your Huawei B618 router. For Celcom, the band is 1800MHz and 2600MHz. Once both of this band is locked, the indicate in Huawei HManager will shown 4G - 44.

QUOTE(Charlize1103 @ Jul 31 2018, 04:22 PM)
Can show the procedure on how to toggle between those 4G?
*
You need to download Huawei HManager and login as administrator (based on Huawei B618 router password) before can lock the band.

The password is the password you enter when you access the router page (https://192.168.8.1).

I don't see a button to lock the band
*
Once you click the option 1800 + 2600 MHz, the band is locked. That's it. Despite you restart the router, the band still the same.

Does anyone try p2p download ?
*
P2P download is not available for wireless broadband connection across different services provider. Please consider fixed line fibre connection instead.

I am using this plan under 30 days trial..
So far the speed is quite decent and speed test results are variable..

Basically, I am getting DL speed > 30Mbps, Max 90Mbps
Upload speed 10-30 Mbps.

I am in dilemma as I scroll through this post and seen all kind of negative comments for this plan.

Not sure wanna cancel my Shitmyx 8 mbps and shift to this Celcom plan or not.
*
This plan for the first 30 days is good. Can achieved the speed as you mentioned above. After 30 days, the speed will throttled down by half and when come to peak hours (between 2000-2359 hours), the speed can further down to 3 ~ 10 mbps. Seriously, you need to consider properly as the contract is bind for 2 years.

QUOTE(myandylai @ Mar 16 2019, 10:14 PM)
Today I was called by their (Celcom) agent about the Celcom Broadband Plan. I am using Streamyx 8Mbps for n years and wanted to shift to Celcom. But I am worry that it's another P1 + YES. First 30 days sure fast then after 30 days throttle speed until like turtle.

Anyone used more then 2 months please share more about your experience.

Thank you.

The answer as per replied above.

does anyone know one IC can apply for how many account?

if i pay the penalty and terminate it now then i apply another one to get the B618.. can or not?
*
If I not mistaken is 3 accounts per user. Anyway, instead of apply and terminate, why not just get yourself a brand new 65d Huawei B618 from TM? Isn't that this price can get you an unlock version of router that support for different services provider?
