anybody here placing the WIFI reuters at ground floor but watching TV by connect to Wifi at 1st floor bedroom for a standard 2storey house ?

wonder how is the speed and experience looks like ?

Can watch 4k netflix in smart tv or by ps4 device?whith 1tb video walla?

I have the router at 2nd floor study room computer table. My TV is at living room ground floor I have to problem watching TV connect to it.

Wow, that’s a powerful router. 2nd floor to ground floor, the WiFi signal is strong enough to cover 3 storeys apart. Me using Asus RT5300 cannot even achieve that. What router are you using?

Sorry I mean 1st floor (it depends on how you see it. Ground, 1st, 2nd...). Well they gave me Huawei B618s-22d

Has anybody tried to connect the Huawei B618 to a switch or other LAN devices? I need 3 LAN ports but seems like it only has one LAN port the other is WAN port

Shouldn't be any issue watching 4K video in Netflix using Smart TV. Max can go is 4K @ 60fps. If you want to go ahead with 8K video quality, the speed of the connection need to be at least 100mbps and above then only smooth.

Nope. For my understanding, this router reception is good enough to use in landed property unless your house is bungalow in which required external antenna to boost the connection. Can try to survey around to get the best quote for this external antenna that support for this device.

Yeah, currently the CELCOM broadband is package with Huawei router, but I am not sure which model.
currently I try to use the Maxis line (data plan) in my HP to connect as wireless WIFI..the signal is very weak when I put at downstair, even watch in same level living hall area..

how can we know whether the router is strong enough ? any spec in the machine can tell ?

For smart TV, do we know which line of spec can tell us their wireless reception strength ?

That means for 8k video quality, must get the high end Unify with 100MBPS speed ?

The router indeed powerful i put in my room across the other end about 200m still got line but weak

It depends on the coverage of your area. If managed get 4G+ network with full bar reception, can easily reached more than 100mbps.

I did. I connect Huawei B618 to the WAN port of an ASUS router. Then I can use the remaining LAN ports on my Asus router.

As long as your smart TV is connected to this Celcom Wireless Network for Netflix, it will utilized the Video Walla data.

So from B618 LAN port you connect to ASUS WAN port?

Of course. You can login Celcom Online Customer Service to check the normal data usage. For Video Walla, you may need to message them or call their hotline to check the details.
