I'm using Streamyx 4Mbps (it's the only plan at my area. There is no fiber cable not even Streamyx 8Mbps) the problem is the line keep breaking off especially when it's raining. I've been complaining to TM but seems like they have no idea what's happening and finally told me copper wire is like that. I'm thinking of moving to Celcom Home Wireless Gold Plus. My question are as follow. Hope you guys can help
1. Does the Video Walla has speed cap? (I watch Astro online and Youtube quite frequent)
2. Is Youtube included under Video Walla? Last night I check I don't see Youtube in the Video Walla category.
2. Will I still be able to download torrent? (I use BitComet to download torrent)
3. Any other things that I should be aware of?
Thanks.

No speed cap but do have quota limit, which is 100GB per month. If you're those who always watch HD or 4K video quality, better upgrade the plan to platinum package. Hassle free and no worry about the quota limit which is being allocated for 1TB.

2. Is Youtube included under Video Walla? Last night I check I don't see Youtube in the Video Walla category.

Yes. It is being included in the Video Walla package and separated from the 50GB normal data usage.

2. Will I still be able to download torrent? (I use BitComet to download torrent)

Unfortunately, no. There is a restriction for this unless you enable the VPN service but the speed limit is there.
May I know what do you mean by "speed limit is there"?

3. Any other things that I should be aware of?

If you use for a while and decided to terminate the service, better do it within 30 days or else penalty RM499 + 6% GST will be imposed to your account.

Thanks.

Just got my hand on the Celcom Home Wireless. Wow the speed test is impressive but the rest is yet to be tested.

I went to Celcom Blue Cube to apply for Home Wireless the guy who attended to me said my area has no coverage after he checked on his computer. I then access Celcom website and showed him the website said my area has coverage and he was surprised.

Really?? RM1299?? I was told at Lazada was RM10XX. When I was there to apply there were a few people returning the router saying slow speed and intermittent line breaking off.

I also facing the same problem.
Checked address(fake address) is in coverage. Give screenshot somemore.
I argue with them, that cannot be.
I ask to do it myself on their laptop, Poof.. jumpa
But still resist to register as not same with my IC address.
Need tenancy agreement somemore to prove it.
*
This is crazy. Their system and public website don't agree with each other.

Well I installed a new boot up disk and when I setup my network I don't know some how setup as public network. After I switched to Home network the listening port is working now. Of course I did setup the router virtual server as usual.

If using VPN, there isn't a problem at all. The main concerned is normal user if they didn't change the settings, did they able to access specific websites as per usual? So far no resolution on this matter despite reported to them 2 to 3 weeks back.
*
Even if with VPN if the listening port is on it can be a lot faster

Update:
Port forwarding doesn't work anymore with Celcom Home Wireless (Huawei B618s-22d router). It was working for a while but the next day it just doesn't work anymore no matter what I try. The same setting works on Streamyx (I still have Streamyx with me) but not Celcom Home Wireless. I wonder can Celcom block port forwarding?
I was running with VPN without listening port on and the speed was 10xx kB/s which is still ok I guess nod.gif

Wow, that’s a powerful router. 2nd floor to ground floor, the WiFi signal is strong enough to cover 3 storeys apart. Me using Asus RT5300 cannot even achieve that. What router are you using?
*
Sorry I mean 1st floor (it depends on how you see it. Ground, 1st, 2nd...). Well they gave me Huawei B618s-22d

I did. I connect Huawei B618 to the WAN port of an ASUS router. Then I can use the remaining LAN ports on my Asus router.
*
So from B618 LAN port you connect to ASUS WAN port?

As long as your smart TV is connected to this Celcom Wireless Network for Netflix, it will utilized the Video Walla data.
*
Is there anyway to differentiate Video Walla data usage from the Network Data usage ?
