Nvidia knows those people who can afford a Gsync monitor has already bought their GPU and the monitor.

Now they are targeting people with RX470/580 who may or may not have a Free Sync monitor... They will buy a Nvidia GPU...

I'm more eager to see a 3840x1600 144hz instead of a full 4k screen

I think maybe GTX1160 will fall in this price.

I'm kind of excited with the 1660, not so much on desktop but more so on laptop.

I'm hoping the 1660 to finally fit in a Dell XPS 15 and Thinkpad X1 Extreme while being as fast as the current 1060maxQ.

I still think the 1160 is more logical in thin and light gaming laptop, either more powerful than 1060, or cooler than 1060 at the same performance, or simply replace 1050TI

"Leaked benchmark shows the GTX 1660 Ti performs as good as a GTX Titan X."

Not until you realize the Titan X is actually the Maxwell Titan X, not the Pascal Titan X.  brows.gif

With all the DLSS hoo-hum going around now, I guess Pascal is still a better buy?

I think next gen RTX2060 will be THE real replacement for GTX1060, when more games supports RTX and DLSS finally graduated with whatever learning they need.

Now we have a 1650 which would be targeting the $199 market. doh.gif

Need something like that to be inside the 1050Ti power envelope and perform faster, great for ultralight gaming laptop without paying premium for 2060!

Well, the 1650 is supposed to draw power from the PCIe slot. Perfect for compact PC builders.

So difficult to find low profile GTX 1050Ti here.

A much bigger market for it will be 15" thin laptop such as the Dell XPS15 and Lenovo X1 Extreme. I guess that's why Dell never refreshes the XPS15 when they refreshes the XPS13 last year.

RTX is only considered to be mature when a xx80Ti can do RTX at 4k/60.
For now since I do not play those RTX titles, I don't think the cards are worth it.

The thing is RTX is the term for many technologies underneath, and doing 4k/60 has nothing to do with maturity.

It'll eventually be there once performance improves.

As of now RTX cards are worth every bit you pay for. If you can accept GTX 1080 Ti, RTX 2080 is just as good in price to performance ratio, but you get the RTX tech on it............ whether you use it or not is another thing but hey, free tech bundled into your card isn't a bad thing.
*
Yeah you can marvel at all the tech underneath, it's only my opinion that I set the maturity benchmark at 4k/60.
I disagree you get the RTX for free getting the 2080. I can't get much choices for new GTX1080 Ti but in the used market, that RTX cost RM800 more.
That would be totally worth it for a Tomb Raider or Metro fans, so again, it is just my own opinion.

Not worth buying used most of the time

the owners usually do not understand the market. Used 1070 for 1K? who the hell would buy that? 1660Ti if you slap a few discount/rebate from lazada can easily go below 1.2K

I personally think used card a generation old should sell 1 tier lower than new card. Which is usually 30-40% cheaper
*
I believe the market price for used 1070 is RM850, which can be quite a saving for people who are having limited budget for their build.

According to reviews, on average it's little slower than the RX 570 4GB and the GTX 1060 3GB, but the cards were with power connectors so they were higher clocked. The 75W lower clocked cards will underperform slightly.

Pricing, it starts from RM 660, the Galax 75W 1 clock OC dual fan version. So unless you need a LP card or you are upgrading an OEM PC for the best gaming performance you could get or, you have a mediocre sub 400W PSU, the RX 570 4GB is a better option for gaming, price wise.

Rather disappointing really, RX 570 is essentially a 470, which is like 3 years old.

I still think the GTX1650 (and Ti) isn't destine as a desktop GPU where older while cheaper GPU are available. Niche market, maybe.

It is laptop where these GPU will shine.
