According to Toms hardware, they estimate there's going to be two versions of the 1180 (if they call it that). US$999 for the lower end version, US$1499 for the higher end version.

I think you can estimate the prices for the 1170, 1160 yourself. You might want to keep using that 680 for awhile longer.

*
The USD999 is only justified if it is 2x faster than 1080Ti.

Take those price rumors as a grain of salt. Here some latest rumor:

Sure, the GTX 2060 and 2050Ti will be a long time away. The RTX 2080 and 2070 though? Yeah, nice shit Jen Hsun. rolleyes.gif

Once the new GPU drop, can probably get used GTX1070 at the price of a new high end GTX1060.

Yeap, sell fast. Many people has a set budget for certain 2nd-hand cards, they'll just buy if the price is right and enjoy playing their current games today.

Jen-Hsun definitely lied, if he had said the truth we would be paying for the the current GPU price back then.

2050 will be at Dec 2018 or Jan-Feb malaysia time.
Problem is , what is the price would it be.

Currently sub 2 years 1050 $99 but at malaysia distro still selling RM550.2 years card selling Rm550 more expensive than MSRP $99.
*
As long as they're isn't any competition from AMD, i don't think they'll keep the same price. Just be happy as long as you can get slight more performance out of the next gen card for the same price even if that's mean a tier downgrade (1060 3G -> 2050).

Oh and Malaysia distro is indeed greedy in the past, but we'll see how price compare with the Trump's new tariff.

As I no longer play much games, gonna just wait 2070 pricing, or 1080 to drop below 2k  biggrin.gif

Hope that the 2070 can repeat the 1070 magic (faster than 980 Ti and cheaper)
so faster than 1080 Ti and cheaper.

I'm just hoping they (Asus) improve cooling for the VRM this round.

Do you think miners can tap into the RTX for some crypto-ray-mining?
Anyway, will be interesting to see the benchmark and will seller actually increase back the price of the 1080 Ti.

Or maybe Nvidia is keeping the price premium until:
1) Pre-orders got their cards
2) Benchmark are out
3) Cleared old Pascal chips stock

The they drop the price by 25% and release the RTX Titan @ USD1200.
And the GTX 1180 to those who want 40% faster than 1080 Ti @ USD550.

but seriously a beast if its true. that puts the 2080 around 20-30% faster than a 1080ti.. so da 2080ti should be 50-60% faster than 1080ti... its like a titan V.
*
Right now,
2080 is 60% more expensive than 1080,
2080 Ti is 80% more expensive than 1080 Ti

I wish Nvidia allowed reviewer to publish their own benchmark instead of coming up with their own one with full of ambiguity.

2.5k for the Asus Strix OC version. Quite ok I think considering it's harder to find used for that particular model.
*
Wow that's a good price, where did you even find it?

contact dealer suncycle malaysia... gave them serial number... they ask to send for check...

sent. wait 1 month received back the same card.. working great until now...
*
Wow that’s some great service by Suncycle, make me more confidence in getting Zotac’s product.

QUOTE(seichirosano @ Aug 28 2018, 12:10 PM)
anyone still remember how much in rm a gtx 1080ti cost when it launched?
*
RM3.5k-RM4.3k for air-cooled models.
Cheapest being the Zotac 1080 Ti Mini IINM.
https://www.lowyat.net/2017/134145/zotac-la...-priced-rm3469/
https://www.lowyat.net/2017/129138/asus-gtx...80-ti-my-strix/

Even during the peak mining period, Zotac is still selling their cards are reasonable price, only that stock was hard to come by. Maybe Aleune mistaken the price for a Titan or a AIO cooled model.

haha
dunno want to pre-order zotac 2080 or not
it is similar price as 1080ti
but performance better than it
*
The 2080 AMP is 18% more expensive than the 1080 Ti AMP Extreme, 28% more than 1080 Ti AMP, it better be that much faster too on legacy games.

from what i can gauge
2070=1080
2080=1080ti
2080ti>10% faster than titan Xp < 20-30% slower than Volta
clock to clock..
*
So instead of making a 2070 as fast as and half price of 1080Ti
They make a 2080 as fast as 1080ti and price it 30% more.

For the mobile parts, I don't think there will be much improvement for perf/power with 20xx for laptop too until they use 7nm.

It is back to buying midrange again when there's no competition from AMD. Nvidia will put feature in one at a time to slowly milk the enthusiast.

And when AMD have something competing in the high-end one day, Nvidia can suddenly release a product, which is already baking in their lab for a long time, and make that great leap.

I on the other hand just buy 1080ti and sell my 980ti before resale value drop more. But in this case 1080ti price also drop, so kinda a bit of dilemma that time haha. But considering my old 980ti is older and will drop like crazy, i think it's a safe bet rather than waiting for 1080ti price to drop further.
*
If both 980Ti and 1080Ti drop 20%, you will lose RM200 selling the 980Ti cheaper, but you save RM500 getting a cheaper 1080Ti. That's how I see it.
The thing is, not many people is buying the 980Ti ATM with many people dumping their mining GTX1070.

980TI with 3gb memory useless haha

1080TI with 8gb memory more worthwhile hahahaha
*
Comparing the vram got nothing to do with whether he wanted to sell the 980Ti now or later. And you're confusing that with 780 Ti (vs 980 Ti) and 1080 (vs 1080 Ti).

If the 2080 is only 30% faster than 1080, can we speculate the 2060 is 30% faster than 1060.
That's like a 1070.
