if not mistaken 1080ti announced late feb 17..
a friend bought zotac card in june.... that about 3-4 months later...

sell 1080ti now and wait for months no gaming??

is 2080 / 2080ti upgrade is significant enough over 1080ti?
i'm using 1080ti and i'm satisfied at the moment on 1440p 60fps gaming.

My hand also starting to feel itchy... wanna get 1080ti but Nvidia might be announcing new GPU...

besides I already itching GSYNC 4k

Playing AC Origin now. Gotta tweak the settings to get average 60fps. Roaming in town will usually gets around 55fps but during cutscenes, it can drop to 45fps. Anything below 50fps, it will not be smooth even with G-Sync monitor.

Most settings will set to Normal to High, Texture set to Very High & Shadow mostly Low on all of my games. Haha

ACO.... i think something is wrong with the game or the installer.... or my pc.

ultra - barely 65-70
high - 60
med - 55

LOL... That's what happened to me when I'm playing with the setting in War of Mordor. Very high setting average around 50 fps. Low also 50fps

Need to restart the game if that's the case. I think it also happened to ACO... Once I hit the FPS I'm okay with then only I'll start playing the game.

Missed those day where I put everything to Very High and it stills gets above 70fps. LOL

You have to wait for the 1180Ti

That is why i rarely play action games

Confirm above medium sure less than 60fps

1070 would be absolute entry requirement for 1440P ultrawide. Got 70fps at DOOM, 40+ at The Division.
Now I'm aiming 2070 which hopefully will be at performance of 1080 to 1080ti

I dont buy highest end. It wont last 'properly' for that many years. As new tech keep added into new gen card, or new type of technology not supported by older gen GPU.
Highest end product also depreciate badly
