not bad. my advise - dont buy vanilla version. wait for the TI series and you can skip another 3 or 4 gen

Not for long  biggrin.gif  try FF XV, if with hairwork etc will kill even 1080
That's why even my hand so itchy now ( 1080 dropped back to attractive price ) I'll tahan and just wait 1170 maybe 1180 #GGwallet
*
if gonna #GGwallet, go for 2080Ti. the best and can last you the longest. brows.gif

if not mistaken 1080ti announced late feb 17..
a friend bought zotac card in june.... that about 3-4 months later...

sell 1080ti now and wait for months no gaming??

hard decision....  laugh.gif
*
is 2080 / 2080ti upgrade is significant enough over 1080ti?
i'm using 1080ti and i'm satisfied at the moment on 1440p 60fps gaming.

damn. almost RM6k for the GPU alone. that's like 2k + compare to 1080Ti previously?

oh wai, its comparable to the latest iphone already rclxub.gif

From the seller that sold me his used 980ti 2 years ago.  biggrin.gif
He saw my WTB thread and PM'ed me. Lucky because I really want the Asus Strix version, goes well with my ROG mobo.
Told him next tim 2080ti, can also sell to me  brows.gif
Bangsawan bro  laugh.gif
*
2.5k is a damn nice price for the Strix. even i bought the Ref edition last time cost me SGD 1.1k. (new)
1080Ti is powerful enough for today games except above 1440p for max settings tongue.gif

I calculated the total price i paid for every part inside my computer except monitor, mouse and keyboard = less than rm6k lol
*
RM4k i also think from top to bottom, but GPU for RM6k is really another level rclxub.gif
when i saw Lazada SG open for PO - i was like.....its SGD 800 more than my new monitor sweat.gif

the only way to justify the price is by having more than 50% performance different compare to previous gen in apple vs apple (non-ray tracing) benchmark.

Happy to know that 2080 and 1080ti benchmarked results are almost identical. Huhu
*
1080ti Rocks. biggrin.gif 30% per for almost 70% cost different = @@||.
but 2080Ti can do 200hz 1080p in competitive gaming with no sweat.

How many here actually getting the 2080ti? Just wondering haha.
And how many is stucking with the 10 series lol
*
not stuck with 1080ti, but it still punch alot even on my 3440x1440p monitor.
while we are reaching era where all benchie/demo on 4k resolution, it didn't surprise me when nvidia is demoing their new tech in 1080p. (you know something is not right).

QUOTE(Duckies @ Sep 21 2018, 09:44 AM)
Saw somebody is selling at 2.4k for second hand in garage sales:hmm: but change GPU and not changing monitor seems wasted.
*
just go on par with gpu and your monitor?
just play the waiting game. since now on "old games", the 2080 perform similiar to 1080ti at higher price.
and the selling point of 2080 is RTX & DLSS, which now nowhere near to be tested for the consumer to know how exactly powerful is this new GC is.

ppl got it wrong. the ques to gpu via gpuview was fully loaded. there was no gpu at that time to handle it.
its really a beautiful game.

FFXV tested abit but waiting for official DLSS
*
bro, why not upload the 4k/1440p vid into youtube. its wasted to just present it in 1080p.

WTA, which brand & model of 3xxx series is using Reference PCB?

I stumble this on EK WB for 3080 and 3090.

This block is made for reference PCB 3080 and 3090 cards. Founders Edition does NOT have a reference PCB.

An EK water block for Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090
EK-Quantum Vector RTX 3080/3090 D-RGB water block is compatible with most reference design (not Founders Edition) GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 based graphics cards, but as always, we recommend that you refer to the EKĀ® Cooling Configurator for a precise compatibility match.

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-quantum-vector...gb-nickel-plexi

my current Palit 1080ti is FE with WB for reference board hmm.gif
