Got My N95 last week. Every good as It become most powerful mobilephone I'd ever have (Before I use many nokia phone such as N90 and N80).

Application, Slider, Display are Impressive especially The GPS Navigator. I already subsribe the Singapore/Kuala Lumpur / Bangkok navigation for USD 78/year. This navigator do the job very well. I paired my N95 with BH 500 which provide me wireless music streaming and handfree. rclxms.gif

But the battery drain very fast. mad.gif Everyday i need to charge my N95 in my car. Charging with car charger will shorten the battery life. Nokia should invent / include better mAh i.e 1500 mAh battery to this phone as this phone just like power hunger monster.

i have a solution for the phone. get a Motorola portable charger P790, which can give u up to 2 times of full charge of phones. Price is RM180/pc. the size is like Motorola u6 PEBL.

Initially, u need to charge for 2-4hours then u can bring along to anywhere u go.

Of cause it can be done smile.gif
Go to Menu>Tools>Settings>General>Personalisation>Standby>Shortcuts>
Then you can choose left selection key or right selection key to link to your converter.

lol, lets spread the words until nokia heard us tongue.gif

for me I would opt for extra battery instead of portable charger... at least n95's battery, i think is slim enough to slip it in my wallet... just remove the coins from my wallet tongue.gif

for those who wants to convert any video files so that it plays nicely in your n95..

you may use this piece of software by Nokia

user posted image

Nokia Video Manager scans and converts any selected video file on your computer to mp4 format. Conversion types include avi, mpeg, wmv and mov (DivX, XVid, MPEG-2 and Quicktime codecs).

According to AllAboutSymbian, the current S60 devices that are capable of playing mp4 (H.264) are the N71, N73, N75, N76, N80, N91, N92, N93 and all S60 3rd Edition FP1 devices including the N95, 6290, 6110 and 5700.

As I'm writing this I'm also scanning my laptop for files to convert to the N95. One thing I can tell you is that it does take a long long time and makes other running application perform very slow. But then again I guess this depends on how much you have stored.

Get the Nokia Video Manager HERE

Minde... put this on page 1 also ok?

I posted this long time ago and no one wants to read it.. !!! Now u really need it. laugh.gif

In case some of u worries bout the built quality/slider mechanism.
YOU are not alone.

QUOTE
I've mentioned on other threads that my N95's slider is noticeably loose on one side. Well, after one day, I came to the conclusion that it's not something I'm going to be able to live with for the next 18 months, so I phoned up Orange earlier today to find out about the possibility of replacement. On the phone I was told that I could get it replaced - they would just send out a courier the next day to delivery my new handset and take away my old one, but I had to visit my local Orange shop first to check that it's not a case that all N95s have loose sliders.

Didn't sound too bad at the time, so off I went to Bromley, where they have two Orange shops, and luckily one of them had one left. The slider on the handset they had was definitely a lot better than mine, so the assistant there phoned up Orange for me to arrange the replacement.

http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/showthread.php?t=48944&page=22

QUOTE
I think the N95 uses the same assisted mechanism as the 6270. Mine had exactly the same feel, very solid and tight when open, but ever so slightly loose when closed.

Other than that, it was good as gold for me though, hopefully the N95 will be as durable as opposed to the rough 6111 and N80 mechanisms.

QUOTE
Both my N95's move up and down slightly (very slightly) while closed. Nothing to write home about.

They also press down slightly on the right. One is worse than the other. Again, I'm not letting this ruin a damn fine phone.

QUOTE
Now you mention it, my slider also rocks a few mills in either direction - but I take that to be part of the design. It's as if there's a lip that the slider has to run over, so there's a bit of give before the slider opens. Certainly not 'loose', in the sense that it opens without manual intervention.

QUOTE

http://mobile.sina.com.tw/tech/sinacn/cn/2007-04-03/160538141424.shtml

Translation :

The N95 slider mechanism is not using the usual "metal track slider thing" like other models in the market.
Instead its using the "drawer style join kinda plastic thing"

The BAD : Lower resistance to long term friction

The GOOD : Better sliding FEEL..

pardon my translation. wub.gif

This phone rocks for the current trend in the world of mobile phones, but the only setback is the battery life. Makes consumer think twice before purchase.
