Got My N95 last week. Every good as It become most powerful mobilephone I'd ever have (Before I use many nokia phone such as N90 and N80).

Application, Slider, Display are Impressive especially The GPS Navigator. I already subsribe the Singapore/Kuala Lumpur / Bangkok navigation for USD 78/year. This navigator do the job very well. I paired my N95 with BH 500 which provide me wireless music streaming and handfree. rclxms.gif

But the battery drain very fast. mad.gif Everyday i need to charge my N95 in my car. Charging with car charger will shorten the battery life. Nokia should invent / include better mAh i.e 1500 mAh battery to this phone as this phone just like power hunger monster.

Folks,

I tried both Asiamaps which provided by NAVFON and Smart2go map which provided by nokia. Both Programs are awesomes. Just a few reviews for you guys.

1. The Voice Navigation for Asiamap better then Smart2go as The voice got detail intruction such as Flyover and Smart 2 go don't.

2. The Precision of Asiamap better then Smart 2 go because sometime Smart 2 go map will show you off-trail from route path. you will never miss the turn with Asiamap. With Smart 2 go sometime you would.

3. Rerouting for Smart2go is better. The recalculation done very fast. Once you miss the turn, the Phone will rerouting for alternative route for you. The route options for Smart 2go better than Asiamaps.

4.The place searching fot Smart2go is better compare Asiamaps coz sometime Asiamap will return not found for certain place but Smart2go did very well.

5. Map Display for Smart2go is better. It show speed, time and distance and incoming action symbols such as turn left or traffic circle. Asiamap only got plain map.

6. The trial version of Asiamap only provide one map to choose i.e KL or Sing map for 60 days with full package of service. the Smart 2go trial version can loaded with many cities but the service excluded voice navigation. No idea how much it cost to continue the Asiamap service after 60 days but it will cost USD70 ++ to use whole service package for Smar2go map for 1 year.

7. 3G or GPRS connection needed when using Smart2go (very small though). but not for Asiamap.

8. Map for Smart2go more detail than Asiamaps.

I choose Smart2go and activated it for 1 year and had used this service for 1 month already.
But it like to take forever to lock the sattelite especially when you really need it i.e when you lost. My advice, Buy a proper car navigator if you really need a navigation assistant. The N95 GPS just for your girlfriend to keep tracking where you in real time. brows.gif

Not sure it came with the package or not. But for the Smart2go map, when I miss a turn because the voice came out to late, The Phone will rerouting and show the alternative route or It will show how to go back to the turn that you missed.

One time when i used Asiamaps (trial) to Navigate me, I miss a flyover which was intructed by the Voice and went straight to the round about. The Maps automaticly rerouting me with alternative route to destination.

so smart2go is still trial version? or smart2go can be consider as freeware without turn-by-turn navigation?

Can consider The Smart2go as a freeware but It difficult and quite dangerous to use this Gadget while driving without Navigation service. So need to pay it's annual fee for this service.

hey...anybody know the maxis setting for N95 =,= I lazy go back Maxis centre..

You got Setting Wizard loaded in your Phone? This setting wizard will automaticly provide you a setting for WAP, Internet, Streaming and MMS whenever you put a sim card regardless 3G or 2G. It is work with Maxis, Celcom and Digi.

This Setting wizard work very well with all Symbian 60 series Phone.

Alternatively just call customer service and request the setting from them. They will send you this setting via SMS. Save that setting and configure every service with their particular access point.

You need to activate the 3G / GPRS at the first place to used this services.
