anyone noticed the hissing sound in the background of the video recorded by n95?
*
Yeah, same here. Is it because of the GPS? This is the 1st time Nokia has that sound also AFAIK... BTW, I am having problem with my N95... Cannot send MMS, Browse Internet or even checking emails...

I tot is was my SIMcard. But, when I switch to my N93, there is no problem whatsoever. I tried to put my prepaid Hotlink inside N95 and there is no problem ALSO... The problem of 'Packet Data Not Allowed' ONLY APPEARS on my Postpaid Maxis ONLY... Anyone can verify this? Test it and post your result here...

BTW, bought this phone (2 sets, 1 for my dad and 1 for me) from winners (lelong)... Call Lai for best deal...

Please read through this thread from page 1, i think somewhere in the middle there is an instruction on how to disable APN control in order for you to use the internet connection on N95.

Well...i might as well just tell u tongue.gif Go to Menu>Tools>SettingsConnection>APN control> then choose option>disable restrictions. After you disable it, choose for operator access point....then you should be able to use the internet, mms, etc dy....let me know if this helps wink.gif

hey...anybody know the maxis setting for N95 =,= I lazy go back Maxis centre..

You got Setting Wizard loaded in your Phone? This setting wizard will automaticly provide you a setting for WAP, Internet, Streaming and MMS whenever you put a sim card regardless 3G or 2G. It is work with Maxis, Celcom and Digi.

This Setting wizard work very well with all Symbian 60 series Phone.

Alternatively just call customer service and request the setting from them. They will send you this setting via SMS. Save that setting and configure every service with their particular access point.

You need to activate the 3G / GPRS at the first place to used this services.

Would the slider get loose again after fixing it?

just came back from lunch. managed to test the route planning whether the tracking is real time. It is real time. Well at least that is how accurate I see it.

tested the GPS data as well for navigation and trip distance.

Ya, it is real time tracking. Show you where you are in accordance to the 'coloured' route after you specific your location and destination.

I hope it is free cuz I use it quite extensively in HK. One complaint is that the GPS sometimes give me a longer route. Make me walk like hell.

Anyway the N95 is the only gadget I brought for my 7 days HK trip.

I use it for - Listen music/play games in MTR
- Surf the net in Starbuck for infos and news
- GPS for map and route planning
- Camera for picture and video taking
- QuickOffice for my daily plan/agenda and budget tracking

well we can only speculate for now. but i believe that it will get loose again. just a question of when.

smile.gif

i wouldnt mind it being loose after 5 years of wear and tear
hahahaha.

just got my phone back and it is tight alright.
no more loose feeling.

but the sliding is no longer fluid like.

can feel it is more solid and the friction

its really tight.
LOL

set your IPV4 manually.

i had that problem but solved it.

n95 seems to have a problem negotiating with your DHCP server using WEP. The bug is not solved by the latest firmware but the wifi is a lot more stable now. Managed to download files at more than twice the speed using my wifi at home.

On the other hand, I could see light from the side of the phone when I'm in dark room. It looks like there is a gap between the metal pieces.. sad.gif
