Call 123, around CNY i switched from hotlink prepaid to hotlink postpaid, it can be done through 123.

They will verify your details, then submit the request to respective department. Waited for a week and i'm on hotlink postpaid. (tele sales got special promo for switching applicant, so i suggest to switch through 123 instead of physical store).

Here's abit of help as i personally planning to downgrade my current Maxis Postpaid 128 package to Hotlink Postpaid since i don't require 60GB data a month and normally use a maximum of 4GB and below. These are the steps that i gathered from the service counter assistant at the Maxis center at Sunway Pyramid:

1) Go to maxis center to send request
2) Request service counter to convert current Maxis postpaid line to hotlink prepaid
3) Condition: need to use hotlink prepaid for min 1 month
4) After 1 month has elpased you can then upgrade the Hotlink prepaid account to a Hotlink postpaid package of your choice

Note:

- process takes 3 - 5 days (walk in)
- each hotlink postpaid account will be managed individually
- hotlink prepaid limits 2 x lines to one I.C
- cannot link 3 x accounts under one account to be paid monthly

I'll be making the switch next week over the counter.

Good move to downgrade, I did the same as well.
Will be saving so much in the long term just by doing this switch.

Successfully change from hotlink prepaid to hotlink pospaid 40 by calling 123. Call in the morning, and all done by afternoon.
Plus i get extra 5gb/month.

wow good for you....maxis called me up last month to offer hotlink prepaid to hotlink postpaid. But dont have the extra 5GB, sadness

Maybe you can call in and ask, I switched mine around March and they are already having this promo. Make sure it is the Postpaid 40 plan.

is there a internet speed difference between hotlink postpaid vs maxis postpaid? been wanting to switch over to hotlink postpaid since majority of the time WFH, no point using maxis postpaid at all

The staff said that Hotlink Postpaid and Maxis Postpaid is running the same network, but I did notice a slight difference as Hotlink Postpaid is just a bit slower.

i remember seeing the speed comparison somewhere as well but i couldnt find it anymore. thinking of converting to hotlink just to cut my phone bill hahaha

Hi guys, i need help. I just changed my hotlink prepaid to hotlink postpaid 40. The problem is, they ask to me to download Hotlink Postpaid app on google store and when i tried to enter phone number and TAC verification number they direct me to Hotlink RED(prepaid). They even gave me "The service you have requested is currently unavailable. Please try again later". I've even uninstall all maxis and hotlink related app many times. Still gave me the same problem. Please HELP!

i just change my plan to Hotlink Postpaid 60, may i know why there is a Expires Date ? Do i have to pay before the expires date ?
