Stock camera app have manual modes, but only for WB and ISO. Open camera has more options.ISO, Exposure.
I guess we'll have more manual options if the camera2 API is enabled by default. *update. This app seems to be able to access more manual mode options without having to enable that API.

I bought H+ Pro from ali express nillkin store. I think shopee also have local seller or china importers.
Can't find on either one, nillkin store and nillkin official store.

QUOTE(lucaswjk @ Apr 27 2018, 12:58 AM)
bro choose nillkin cp+, fully cover
i order from lzd china's seller

and all nillkin come with rear lens screen protector (plastic)
*
Nillkin full cover glass good? Will it come off after a short period since the adhesive is at the borders only?

Mine picked up by Gdex this afternoon too, hopefully I can get it by Monday

QUOTE(lucaswjk @ Apr 27 2018, 01:11 PM)
agreed very hard to adjust the edge with full cover.
but if u managed to fit into it, then ur phone is fully protected 🤘
*
Yup that's what I'm worried. If not aligned properly, overtime it might just come off easily.

Should blame mi Malaysia for contributing to the confusion.

Plus that labelling in the shop. Of course people would question it.

Now we know biggrin.gif

More RAM does use a little more power assuming everything else is equal.

Just goto Xiaomi official website, got info at the front page. Unless they didn't put out info, then it's logical to question.

Here's the link. H+ Pro Nillkin

Nillkin frosted hard cover

I used this combo. Not sure if use full glass screen cover can use this back cover.

The original TPU cover that bundled together is great quality but reason i chose this cover was due to it dotted texture. Gives nice grip ( at least for me ). The screen protector is great too, though abit prone to fingerprint smudges, put inside pocket and take it out clean ady hahaha. thumbup.gif

Going to flash my phone now.

Edit 01:
Flashed TWRP and leaked 9.5.6.0(OEIMIFA).
Camera is fine now.

Edit 02:
How to flash TWRP?
ADB shows it is successful but always see Mii recovery.
*
Did you follow the steps here?

https://twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomiredminote5pro.html

There a note at the end. Usually I don't need to do anything, it will straight boot to TWRP recovery for the first time.

Everything ok now?

QUOTE(Kotarou @ May 1 2018, 05:19 PM)
Well, I received my phone, and so far I'm alright with everything...

Except for the screen. The colors are washed out (vs. Redmi Note 3 (!!!)) and adjusting the contrast and colors doesn't help. Sigh
*
Could it be a defective screen? Let's wait for more feedback.

Any of you pre-ordered the redmi note 5 from lazada official mi store? Did you manage to get the 1000 airasia big points?
*
I used Lazada app to order, don't remember seeing it after payment.

I think I know why. Airasia big point T&C

Don't look washed-out to me, just a lighter tone. This screen has a cooler colour temperature it seems.

Same here. Screen is fine to me.

Try adjusting to warm if you don't want red, green, yellow to be light colour. If only Xiaomi provide more options for display calibration then it would be good for you.

*Also change to high contrast instead of auto.

ok it's either adjusting to warm or high contrast, can't have both.

High contrast makes everything more vibrant try it. And if that's not enough, wait for Xiaomi to add saturation controls

Try calling someone and check if the screen goes black as soon you press the call button.

Everything else works ok, it's just that one time. Don't know what's triggering the problem, so can't replicate it.

QUOTE(dtdw @ May 5 2018, 11:40 AM)
xiaomi naming scheme has always been confusing since the beginning, its not something new. i have done plently of research into this to know that even official staff also gets it wrong.

https://www.facebook.com/XiaomiMalaysia/pos...2%3A%22R0%22%7D

cant be blaming the staff, distributor or even the importer though, xiaomi themselves made things this way. see even satu gadget got it wrong.

https://www.satugadget.com.my/xiaomi-redmi-...iginal-malaysia

directd smart abit, leave out the aperture, but that means also get ppl questioning.

http://www.directd.com.my/redmi-note-5-ori

basically, calling it "pro" in india,
calling it just "note 5" in china,
and calling it "AI" in MY
*
xiaomi naming scheme is one thing, but not properly trained staff is unacceptable. Previously on the xiaomi sale page, they actually changed the pixel size to 1.4um but left the sony sensor there. Then that particular xiaomi shop putting out f/2.2 on their label. yup, you are right and it's logical for people to question about it of course.

QUOTE(locomania @ May 5 2018, 12:19 PM)
I think another poster here put it in a very nice way to explained, if not wrong is something like this:

What's for India, stay in India, and the China's version is the global version...so basically only 2 versions ONLY (regardless of all the different names used by different countries is still 2 versions) AND regardless all those sellers put all those inaccurate spec info, you just need to know 2 versions spec only. I think I listed both versions camera spec including the camera sensors part number before.
*
Don't forget, even China and Global have different bands support, so it's not entirely the SAME specs.
