face unlock you mean? Not available for Malaysia yet. But I've read on forums, that you access the feature by changing the region to India.

I'm just gonna wait for it. There could be a valid reason why it's disabled on Malaysia sets.

I don't find it to be that slow, but definitely will be slower than starting the app from the home screen. WiFi reconnects? Perhaps check your settings again, never encountered such problem.

no sifu, but you can use alternative sms app, like textra which has ads unless you pay. another alternative app is android messages by google. changing the text size in display settings will have an effect.

Should have gotten a prompt when you installed/open the app. Still can set default by going to Installed apps>tap '3 dots' at the top right>default apps>messaging

Any lowlight shots?

Gcam more saturation and more contrast possibly because of faster shutter speed.

Yeah, in comparisons like these it's hard to know if the difference in the photo is due to the app processing itself or just due to different settings (shutter speed, aperture, ISO) being used. The only way to find out is to use pro/manual mode and use the same settings across the board. To me it looks like the photo from the stock camera app is overexposed, while the one from Google camera is slightly underexposed.

How is the new update? Read on the miui forums that charging is slow after updating. Camera supposedly fixed, but I have zero camera problems on the previous firmware.
