Can I know application due date for july intake this year?

My friend called up few time to IMU and get different answer each call.

hey guys i need some help with my application

ive recently applied for medicine in IMU for the august 2010 intake with my a-level results being A for Chem , B for Bio and C for Maths.
ive selected the PMS option as my first-choice one in application form.
I went for my interview on the 1st of april and i thought i did pretty well in the interview.However, it's been nearly 3 weeks since and still haven't had any word from IMU about my offer letter.Starting to get quite worried now
Do you guys think i will get the letter? and if so when do you think i will get it?
Btw, i applied online throught their website and now it says that my application is being processed and my status is "applied"..

Would really appreciate your help.thanks

abc means average bbb, and is unlikely to get an offer.......

however, offers may not be given till june.....although for those already with results and clearly passing the cut-off (eg, people with aaa, ter>95) will have got their offers by now..........

hero47,if I remember correctly,you're actually supposed to ring imu to check on your application status if you don't get an answer from them within the span of around 2 weeks after the interview.don't worry too much mate!All the best!

sorry to burst your bubble but u maybe not shortlisted. soooo many people with much better results then urs applied for the same course too.anyway, wish u all d best.

IMU usually wont release the result so early, its still april and I'm assuming you are applying for Aug intake. Usually they'll anounce it on July, a few weeks after IPTA/UPU release their application result... So that they can snatch a few dozens dissapointed top scorer from STPM, with cGPA 3.5 and above.

The end result is you will not get the result so soon, and your chances are quite slim.

are talking about medical course or IMU as a general? because i got my offer letter for pharm in 2 weeks.

Medic. I apply and interviewed on April, July only get confirmation letter... 3As and 4As are very common for medic.

you did not get a conditional offer?......

many who awaits their results will receive a conditional offer early, and when the results are released, if you meet the condition, and pay the fees, you are enrolled.......

that's the problem...so those with less outstanding results will be pushed further down the pecking order...

Wow, if 4/3A's is the only result that can confirm you a seat in IMU's mbbs, I must say that this med school is rather hard to enter. How about 1A 2B's? Is this result be sufficient to confirm a seat in IMU?

erm..depeneds on the competition..for local mbbs seats about 70 only..the rest 130 over is for credit transfer programme one..

i have said this many times.........there are so many people with 3a/4a, nobody without straight a's should be allowed into med schools......

this IS the standard in all good med schools in the oecd world..........

in the 3rd world, money can and will buy you a place..........

Nope. I apply with actual results, just a few weeks after STPM release. I know very well that with my result, I'll not get a single place in IPTA med course.

i would infer from this, that you also do not have the results to have received the immediate offer from imu, and they put you into the pending list, depending on the results of the other applicants awaiting results......

did u try other medical schools?ucsi?aimst? dun just limit ur options to one uni.

Maybe, because my chem is only B, 1 grade below their minimum requirement B+.. But all my fellow classmates also get it that late, and many of them are with flying colours. However, there is student with bbc enter IMU.


No... No $$ at that time, I apply using my own money RM300. and I take IELTS using my own money as well. That alone is already 1K... and maybe I'm quite confident with my result at that time. BTW, I visited other med school, campus looks deserted, Monash straight reject me at edu fair because I didn't score 4.0 (they think STPM is in BM).
