My lecturer graduated at the age of around 21 to 22,hunted for a job in Singapore Big 4 and her first paycheck converted to RM is RM5000.

However in Malaysia when you hold the same certificate,same position in the Big 4,your first paycheck is RM2200,better go to Singapore right? Sorry if my first sentence sounded like a spam to you.This salary is based on that particular certificate though. The increment is high so i don't think earning RM5k before the age of 25 is a problem.

every cent you earn comes with sweat and pain. There are a lot of jobs can offer you more than 5k, but of course those money come with blood, tears, sweat and pain, just open your eyes and ears. That's what i know in from my industry. Dont ask me, just go and check it out yourself.

I don't think it's fair to compare salaries after the currency exchange. Most fresh graduates in SG would be earning between S$1800-2200 as opposed to those in Msia at RM1800-2200.

your lecturer spend in SGD too. it wont work by converting the currency straight. you have to consider a lot of other factors such as buying power of the currency and the country economy etc etc. though i have to agree that malaysia jobs wages are really low if compare to other country, yet still better than most developing countries.

@MalaysiaHomebiz,
RM40 per data entered?  Either that's a lot of data to enter or the pay's extremely good!

are you sure its even legal
i mean there are non-scams, perfectly profitable internet 'jobs' around
i've heard of a job where by,
they put cash in your account
and then you have to transfer it out of your account
sort of cyber-money laundering
i mean they do pay like 5% or 10% of the amount transferred, but then again
its money laundering,
its probably drug money or blood money

i mean if you don't care about where it comes from,
just care that if they get caught, the money trail will lead to you.

@ttwangsa,
I haven't gotten around to getting more information about this RM40 data-entry p/time job but ur absolutely right - who on earth is going to pay RM40 per data entered? Plus, forumer's signature makes it sound very MLM-ish and that's too much hard work for me ! *grins*

the thing about earning more than 5k in Malaysia, while it sound enticing, if you think about it, is not that big a deal.

let start with 2k fresh grad, MY & SG, no forex here:

SGD2k - ipod touch 8gb SGD498
MYR2k - ipod touch 8gb MYR1200

SGD2k - a leather jacket from Massimo Dutti SGD600
MYR2k - a leather jacket from Massimo Dutti MYR1500

SGD2k - a cup of coffee from starbucks SGD6
MYR2k - a cup of coffee from starbucks MYR12

i can give more examples, but you know where im going here. i know, i know, no comparing but when it comes to this, you cant help but....

I check this topic from time to time... but i nvr found any1 who work as Graphic designer, or architects, or interior Designer. Are they earning penny or they are all too hell bz to check on forum like this (i assume the later)

I'm Interior Designer with nearly 2 years experience.. Currently salary round 2.8k... nvr enough. 1k spend on car loan , fuel , parking, toll, wash n service. nearly 0.5k for room rent, facilities etc. The rest r food and some simple shopping. rm 0 saving.

Work like shit.. No time to think and try out different things. just work n work.. no newspaper time. no tv. no weekend.. no social....just work.

Not going to carry on this kind of life. mayb i just not suitable in this field. perhaps is time to change. Might just quit my current job soon (although is good learning company and quite high pay) and concentrate on doing some 3d freelances.... targeting rm 6k-10k a month. Tats my goal. am getting a house for family n tats the minumun i hv to earn. The risks r.... no stable monthly salary n could really affect my future dramatically.

But i think this way, i get to explore MORE than i could than working for ppl. Lets say i wanna venture into smthing else that might bring profit.. I can do it by adjusting my own time...and doing research that i know it will bring benefit for myself.

Im a bit worry bout my decision...it can be VERY BAD or it can be VERY GOOD.. I hope there r ppl here who perhaps in d same field who can advice me on this?
