one man's food could be another man's poison as the saying goes..........

i believe we need to find our own PASSION to succeed consistently in whatever we are doing. if a person is doing well in a particular industry, it doesn't mean we will do equally well, although we could - short term due to lack of passion. it'll probably feel like working. most successful people don't feel like they are working when they r at work 16 hours a day cos they enjoy it.

NO 1. (BELIEVE)
if we believe we can achieve 5k (we set whatever figure we want) before reaching 25yrs old (lower or higher age can also), we can (even if it is a 1% chance in 100%)
if we don't believe rclxub.gif nothing to say, do, or think cos we already put full stop

NO. 2 (ATTITUDE)
-how many times have u met someone who throw cold water at you or put you down?
-tell you cannot wan, impossible
-too difficult
-gf or wife dumps him or vice versa
-no friends
-always fail in class
-always fail to meet company target or quota
the list can go on for few pages but i think we get the point here. we live in a world where a lot of things r out of our control. that can frustrate n dissapoint us. we can't control them but we sure can control the way we respond to them couldn't we? it is HOW we respond to negative elements each time when it happens to us that will enable us to achieve what we believed in the beginning. nod.gif

It is our attitude, not our aptitude, that determines our altitude.
Zig Ziglar

in a nutshell, if there is anything we believe that we can achieve we really can even if there is a mountain ahead of us. the key word is BELIEVE & ATTITUDE (good attitude or positive attitude that is) cheers.gif

I grad at age 24, work for 2.5 years. now 26.5 year old turning 27.

Salary RM3600- Elec. Engineer, 9am-6pm
Rental income RM1200
Internet business income unstable, but generally RM600+

Acutally i dun think i am earning that much because my monthly salary+earning will go to roll money again, ie trading, buying stock and selling on ebay, rental income will pay off my house installment. so i am living a harsh life too.

hardworking is important but most important is must use money to earn money, dun use ur time.

To those that are earning Salary More than RM 5K (Working in Msia) & Age below 28.
(I presumably u graduate at age of 22/23, after 5 yrs of experience, RM 5 K seems reasonable, though I think age of 25-26 earning >RM5K is also possible)

I Need ur advice !! What is ur occupation currently? Position ? What the "Factors" that make you earn more than others?
Eg.
1) qualifications?
2) line of work
3) how u got the position and tips!

Wow brother, what type of house/condo you buy can rent out RM1200???? You are rich by age 27.
I guess your monthly rental should be RM1.3k and loan for 30 years right?
I same age with you, but only buy a RM110k apartment, current rental RM600/per month. Good rent?

Kind of the same. My condo in penang cost RM200K fully furnished near to bayan lepas. I am paying maintenance RM100 per month and every quarter there is quit rent, cukai bla bla, etc.

I am not rich...just working up on passive income (rental, internet business, etc) because active income not high, but family financial burden is heavy.

E-Park? Rental in Penang Island really high. Rm200k rent for Rm1.2k. tongue.gif
But E-park should be not so easy to rent out since so expensive compare to N-Park. I sure will not rent it, since the rental can payoff the loan repayment already.

I'm surprise so many youngsters which is below age 30 nowadays have trouble earning 5k a month by working under a company... the real headache is when you want to earn more than 10k from work before getting to 30. Here's are some real life example who are earning 5k++ a month,

1) A friend of mine, working in a software development company which belongs to a MNC audit firm, pos is software testing asst manager at the age of 28.

2) Another friend, start his own hosting company business and have a good foundation in MLM business at the age of 28.

3) My ex company MD and CEO, both at the age of 30 this year. Started the company 5 years ago in discounted call services and ventured into IT 2 years back. Driving C-class and wearing rolex 2 years back.

4) A lady friend of mine, working as procurement engineer in one MNC oil & gas firm, earning 10k per month, ngam ngam 30 this year (and bloody damn hot, too brows.gif )

5) Me, the worst of all the example, 5k++ a month now, 26 this year as a sales in IT system integrator industry.

So the summary of the above examples, not necessary to start your own business or venture into MLM if you just want 5k a month. My sales manager who just surpassed 30 already 10k++ (basic pay only sweat.gif) a month now. Everywhere is money, just the matter of whether you know how to pick up those money or not.

And academic qualification has nothing to do with your earning capability as those papers only tell others how good are you in study. No offense to those high academic qualification holders, but holding a degree or master or PhD doesnt show you will earn better than those who possess lower qualification than you. Of course, having high qualification is still good, but not compulsory. I have seen enough of high academic qualifier having trouble feeding they ownself.

There is no magic in earning money, most importantly is that you must have dedication and passion in everything you do. Make your dream (I have friends who dont even dare to dream, poor fella), set goals, plan for it, have confidence and go DO it. You will get what you want, sooner or later smile.gif Cheers.

Thanks. Your words really do encourage me to dream and to go further. TheNameX, your name sounds familiar, do you play dota and posted in dota forum some time ago? blink.gif

Actually it's true, you don't have to be in Oil and Gas or a specific industry to earn big money and having a Masters or Ph.D doesn't always mean you have the edge (although somehow you do) biggrin.gif

As for myself, I'm still working towards that 5 figure and I certainly hope I'll get it before 30.

In long haul flights, there are 2 sets of pilots, one set will do the take off / landing, and the other will be just "jaga" the flight...so if the flight is for 12 hours, you'll probably need to do just 6 hours.

Yar, thy earn about 10k-15K...of cours captain earn more ler...

If that's the case, then captain for merchant ship earn much more than their pilot counter part. The minimum wage for captian is USD15K/mth tax free.

Although not as glamorous as pilots sweat.gif Further more, they'll be on the sea for a long time.
