your lecturer spend in SGD too. it wont work by converting the currency straight. you have to consider a lot of other factors such as buying power of the currency and the country economy etc etc. though i have to agree that malaysia jobs wages are really low if compare to other country, yet still better than most developing countries. I don't think it's fair to compare salaries after the currency exchange. Most fresh graduates in SG would be earning between S$1800-2200 as opposed to those in Msia at RM1800-2200.
