about the bank thingy...r u using CIMB mastercard? cos if u are, u have to use a virtual CC. can't use the physical card number. i had problems before..but the transaction didn't go thru at all la. but i did get a call from CIMB asking about my transaction, that's where he explained about the virtual CC.

about the LIVE thingy, i had problems if i set automatic settings for my network. couldn't even log in. i set static IP, and set dns...can login fast, download like usual..but my NAT mode strict.

tried port forwarding, enabling UPnP, with no success. how eh?

@ Dutyyers:

ookay....so you don't have internet connection..uh...u go..and..uh...get an internet connection?

you just get a phone, call TMNet, ask about Streamyx and ask about how to apply and fix it. If you have a phone line, it should be no problem (if you actually called TMNet from your house phone in the first place, then not knowing if you have a phone line or not is just plain amazing)

Then when your service is activated, take the phone cable, connect to your modem, and from your modem connect the LAN cable to your X360. Voila! Xbox LIVE!

Oh you also have to actually pay Streamyx for their services, in case you forget. It's on a monthly basis.

Hope that helps.

Most likely it's the bank card issues, why not try and get Xbox Live gold card? No hassle too if you decide to cancel your XBL gold subscription sometime in teh future.

erm... guys.

I was asking you guys help on helping me to clarify whether my account is US or Singapore.
So, after some discussion

1) My window ID is using US as country. So My Live account is generated as US account automatically
2) I have free stuff column inside spotlight. So someone said is US account.

So today I went to GH to purchase prepaid gold 3months. Only Singapore prepaid is sold.
I bought the Singapore card and thinking of creating a new singapore account.
But before that, I tried the card with my US account, it works.

Sooo.... my account is actually Singapore or US account????????

If you can fix it, better do it. It helps make matchmaking faster, no imcompatibility issues when joinining game or voice chat problem (can hear certain people in the party only or maybe none)

yea tht's the thing. ok now here's my setup:

riger telekom modem, connected to dlink switch. then i have 3 pcs, and my x360 connected to the switch.

my pcs surf ok, no problems..so i'm probably guessing it has to do with the routing done by the riger? since one of the troubleshooting says it may be an incompatible router that's causing the strict NAT.

i've done port forwarding, enabling/disabling UPnP, and i can't DMZ with riger. so please share any other methods.

would it help if i buy a router instead of a switch to be connected to riger? that's the last resort of course...i don't want to be spending on a router...AGAIN. but if need for it arises...*sigh*.. shakehead.gif

i think it's streamyx, not LIVE. I have problems playing with ppl from other countries. Thought it was my wireless adapter, brought to GH, jason tested it for me, everything's fine... I came home n played a few rounds of COD with some Malaysians, no problem at all... but play halo in matchmaking...lag like hell.

anyways, thanks Jason for helping me out =)

i have a very big problem now. My console cannot detect my ethernet conenction. I tried connect to my PC and it works, but not my console. Does that mean my ethernet port got fried by lightning ? Coz it was raining in the afternoon
