So... you got a 360 and now you want to get online, but the problem is that it's hard to find the MS Points or Live subscription cards, and you don't have a credit card.

But now there's the AmBank NexG prepaid credit card which you can buy off the counter and use pretty much like a normal credit card, but more importantly... you can use it with Live.

Here's a quick guide to the things you have to using the card for Live.

1. Get the prepaid card pack, usually found in 7-Eleven's in the Klang Valley.

2. Fill up the registration form and mail/fax it to the destination stated on it. Faxing is recommended cause it gets to them much MUCH faster.

3. After a few days or hours if you've faxed the form to them during a work day, call the number stated in the card package to activate your card.

4. You now need to put money into the card, you can do this by depositing over the counter at an Ambank branch, or via a cash deposit machine. If you're using a cash deposit machine do NOT insert the card into the machine, press a button on the cash deposit machine and select credit card payment then punch in your card number to deposit money in it.

5. Take note of the EXACT name displayed on the receipt/screen when you make your deposit, you'll need to know this.

6. Fire up your 360, enter market place and then attempt to purchase points or make a subscription, you'll be asked to add a payment method to your account so just fill in your details. You still need to provide the 'proper' address & zip code for the address fields.

7. When entering in your credit card details, remember name is the name that's shown on your deposit slip that I told u to take note of previously. your card's expiry date is MONTH/YEAR not YEAR/MONTH.

Once you fill it all in, press OK and if everything goes well you'll get a message that says that the payment method was added to ur account and u can start purchasing points and subscriptions now.

pps. I do NOT work for Ambank and hence I will NOT answer any questions about the credit card such as :- Can I use it at the petrol station, can I use it at XXX online store etc. etc. You want to know wheter it works or not? Just try and make a purchase and see if it goes through.
