Walk in to Sunway maxis and Digi store today..both of them said need to sign up for postpaid plan first then can switch to prepaid.

Stick to yodoo first lah like this. Let see what happen after august.

Try other dealer shop, port into prepaid is always allowed. So weird these 2 shops are not allowed.

I had a similar experience. It seems that the physical Maxis Center staff received incorrect information. When I visited a Maxis Center to port in as a Hotlink Prepaid customer, the staff informed me that I couldn’t directly port in to Hotlink Prepaid. Instead, they said I needed to port in to Maxis/Hotlink Postpaid for six months dulu, then convert to Prepaid. They are confident for their answer and even I repeat and clarify. They are very confident on the answer given. Then I clarify with Maxis Social Media team, the response I got; I just lazy to argue…

user posted image

I then went to Celcom Blue Cube. Answer that I received was, postpaid users cannot port in to CelcomDigi Prepaid. However, if you are a prepaid customer from another telco, you can port in to Prepaid. In short, the policy is Postpaid to Postpaid and Prepaid to Prepaid. Only solution is for postpaid user, port-in as CelcomDigi postpaid, then convert to Prepaid after 1 month.

Lazy to argue, I just do port-in to Hotlink prepaid via online.

celcom was always like that one. and now appear to be still the same.

all other telcos allowed internal change between postpaid and prepaid, only celcom system can't do so without porting in-between.

Typical agent chasing after commission. If you press harder sure can direct port to prepaid.

Definitely. Now it is just transitioning. After that I guess they will discontinue the customisation/DIY plan and force you take their existing prepaid plan or convert to their postpaid.

If not, there is no point to disable the new registration and they still need to waste the resources to operate the “Yoodo Apps”.

Most important is that, they will not allow the current Yoodo plan to kill their own prepaid.

few telco like RedOne and XOX can do this
i have one number for calling only on XOX with 26mo validity
bought the season pass for 333mins calling.
so i have 333mins of calling for the 36mo time
after i finish the calltime can buy another season plan, they also have 999mins season pass

redone used to have rm5 unlimited calling monthly, nowadays they changed the plan, u can check them out also

Doesn't appear so, they offer one edisi biru (thats on formerly celcom's frequency band), and the other edisi kuning (thats digi's licensed frequency bands)

They still havent sort out things internally. eg. If you want to jump to the new plans from a different network (yellow to blue, blue to yellow) they will still ask you to port out and port in again although technically it's one and the same company now

For their CelcomDigi postpaid are they on Celcom’s frequency band or DiGi?

right now still split.

I signed up CelcomDigi rateplan through Digi-turned-CelcomDigi outlet, and network name is still Digi in the phone.

double check the validity.
and also check from time to time, in case and since XOX changed TnC about requiring RM30 reload every few months.

Yes. I can sense they want KPI and commission (if any) on Postpaid line. Just you are giving the wrong information and causing inconvenience to others. Especially those port-in to Postpaid and increase their commitment.
