QUOTE(spreeeee @ Jul 24 2017, 12:00 PM) any tips and trick when to do web check-in for better auto-seats-arrangement? travelling with spouse and a kid, didn't buy seats as quite expensive, try to save money no guarantee, but try to do web check-in the moment it becomes available (which is 2 weeks before your travel date). You'll probably have higher chances of getting assigned seats next to each other when less people have checked in

QUOTE(inachi @ Sep 12 2017, 11:27 AM) what u mean self luggage check in machine? u mean print the luggage tag? I think he is referring to the completely DIY self check-in luggage system which is available at a few airports, where there's no human at the counter, basically you print your own baggage tag, stick it to your luggage and put it on the conveyor yourself, and the machine will check if your luggage weight is under your purchase limit, if not, if will instruct you to go to human manned counter for further action. For such case, I think the machine will still look at your total weight allocated under the same booking number. Anyway, if in doubt, just refer to the airasia staff nearby

QUOTE(stimix @ Jan 10 2018, 10:31 AM) Hmnnn..most airlines do hv such facility i.e if u are on the same company, u no need to check out & in again. U just walk from arrival bay to the new destination bay by following the transit signboard. No need to check out & in again. So do your luggages You must seldom travel with AirAsia, most of their flights are point-to-point unless you specifically book their fly-thru connecting flight. To the question if 3hrs is enough, it should be if there's no flight delays

QUOTE(stimix @ Jan 10 2018, 02:55 PM) Hmnn..honestky never transit via aa/aax since I'm flying out from klia2 to other destinations directly. Well except other airlines transit in another country. Hehe I don't even know tgere is such fly-thru option in aa booking...I though when u book let say from bki to bali, u just choose fly from bki to bali? U mean we need to book seperately? Bki-kul & thereafter kul-bali? Ya, you klang valley folks are a lucky lot, people like me from other states, transit is often unavoidable as we don't get a lot of direct flights, especially to international destinations For AA, they have fly-thru bookings for certain routes, ex: Penang-KL-Taipei under the same booking, but usually I still prefer to book it separately so that I can have more flexibility with the timing, and might also get a better deal as their promo for say Penang-KL and KL-Taipei may not happened at the same time

QUOTE(J_Vansen_S @ Feb 20 2018, 10:00 PM) hey guys, just like to confirm does LAYOVER means transit? without need of exiting immigration and recheck-in your luggage? Previously airasia's term was called FLY-THRU, jez to make sure. i arrive KLIA2 11:50, next layover flight is 14:30 is it ok to take this layover flight? Im sick of calling them without answer & waiting for online chat for ages Is your flights booked under the same booking number (PNR)? If so, then it is a transit flight without the need to recheck-in your luggage

QUOTE(plain_white @ Mar 21 2018, 10:18 PM) http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...-card-payments/Is the processing fee charged by airasia when paying with credit card consider as surcharge? I believe so, with this latest news from Bank Negara, let's hope AA really abolish the processing fee for credit card this time, else we should report to Bank Negara.

QUOTE(Al3x0174 @ May 2 2018, 09:46 AM) I notice that if I book one way the ticket will be cheaper compared to when I book with return ticket. is that normal? trying to book ticket I July Not quite sure I understand your question. Of course one way ticket will be cheaper than return ticket. Do you mean booking return ticket separately instead of under same booking? Usually full service airline like MAS will offer cheaper price if you book return flights in the same booking, but I don't think I've ever seen that with AirAsia

QUOTE(Aeon_Clock @ Jun 22 2018, 01:16 PM) need information on carry-on luggage...coz their website has 2 answers for this =.= does the laptop bag count as part of the 7kg carry on weight? and for chek-in luggage...is there a limit of how many bags/boxes you can check-in? (this one doesn't seem to have an answer at all) Refer to their policy here: https://support.airasia.com/s/article/What-...?language=en_GBwhich I think is quite clear and straightforward, the only question is, how strict are they going to enforce this rule, which based on my experience, really depends on your luck

QUOTE(jerebubu @ Apr 6 2023, 05:23 PM) hi, anyone know if airasia still have their direct flight from PENANG to KUCHING ? Earlier they said the route is suspended but i checked their website still have the flight AFAIK still available, but given their reputation of frequent cancellation/rescheduling, I've switched to Firefly, which often times is cheaper than flying AA.
