The technical support said cannot claim warranty if broken caused by flashed third party firmware. Is there any way to cheat for claim?

From Tenda Malaysia customer whatsapp reply.

>>> "Hi,Sir/Madam For your info Customer downloading THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE... We are not responsible claim of a warranty for any product or provide service, The warranty only covers failure of the products caused by demonstrate".

So I asked for is only the Tenda Malaysia have this regulation.

>>> "Local Malay or mainland china we are not responsible customer downloading THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE for claims warranty".

Then I tried to ask for the repair service and the cost.

>>> "Our Tenda products is one to one exchange 3 years warranty we no provide repair service".

Brick caused by using 3rd party firmware, yes
Brick because the AC adaptor died while flashing or brick because there's loss of power during flashing, no

This rule is applied by all networking device manufacturer

Dear sifus,

I've recently purchased a tenda ac18. I followed all the instructions in installing the router, but it can't connect to my unifi internet. In the tendawifi connection status page, it keeps on showing "connecting". Anyway to resolve this?

I am using the stock firmware only. The router detect my internet connection as DHCP.

Ya, my setup is correct because whenever I connect the BTU to the existing unifi D-link router, its working fine, but whenever I unplugged the D-link router and connect to tenda router, then connection can't be established and kept showing "connecting".

Called technical support, but no response mad.gif

Is it by any chance the router is faulty?

are you using the right msian firmware version? if yes if you run the wizard it will ask u to choose if u have unifi or maxis fiber and then asks u to key in username and password.

u can refer to earlier replies on the correct msian version of the firmware.
