That's quite bad, to be honest. When you got the phone back, was it resetted back to factory settings? Apart from that, has there been an improvement in the performance?

Yes phone was resetted back to factory settings when received. I think only slightly if no improvement at all in the performance.

I got 1 of my ip6 battery replaced at QCD Times Square KL. It took them 1 hr to complete the job. Before they accept the phone, they update the firmware to the latest version & restore to factory settings. Do take note "Please backup your phone data before send in for the battery replacement".
14th May 2018, Total damage: RM121.70 + GST 7.30

Yeah, it’s now RM121 during the tax holiday smile.gif

Do you feel a significant improvement in performance after the battery change though?

Maybe iOS 12 will help then.

Sent my iP6s+ last tuesday at Machines Northpoint. Took a day to get the replacement done. Old battery maximum capacity is 75% and after change to new is 100%. But the battery still depleted very fast. Feel like nothing is change πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”.

Unplugged at 8am at 100% now even after not using much drop to 79%.

After a few days now it gettin better πŸ‘πŸ‘

IP6 Battery performance on 98%. So still need to consider new battery replacement?
Just wondering, since all eagerly wanted to change with the lowering price

Got to call the held desk center. They show me this instead:
https://www.apple.com/support/iphone6s-unexpectedshutdown/
To check whether your phone is eligible for the battery replacement. Apparently, mine serial no. wasn't in the battery changed list.
Case close

Yeah, that batch had a defective battery which is why they are eligible to be changed for free. If you're not eligible for the free one then just pay RM121 for a new battery.

Since my battery performance in at 98%, not think of changing yet. Wait until it drop below 90% then will consider the change

If it drops to 90% next year then take note the battery replacement won't cost RM121 anymore...

If Apple discover that the phone has been opened or tampered before they may reject you bringing in your phone for the battery replacement - thats what I heard...

If your iPhone has been opened by outside shops, sometimes they won't want to touch your phone even you pay full price for the repairs.
They are worried that outside shops spoilt something and after you send in to Apple for repairs, you blame them for spoiling their phone.
