I don't understand why the SP need removal?

Apple simply would not take any responsibility on the sp. Remove or not actually is up to the user. You might get back the unit without sp or a damaged sp. A really simple reason to understand on Apple stand point.

Hi everyone,
My battery health maximum capacity is 88% and I have been experiencing issues with my phone battery whereby the phone will auto shut down eventough the battery is 50%. When try to on the phone says battery Low and when you plug in the charger it goes back to 50% over.
I have updated to the latest iOS and issue still persists.
According to Apple, they will only replace the battery of the battery capacity is below 80% and since my iPhone warranty is expiring in Dec, I have log a case with Apple support and their advisor has approved for FOC battery replacement as the phone warranty is still valid and has created an exception casefor the battery to be replaced eventough the battery capacity is 88% and looking at the nature of the issue, advisor supported my case and gave a go ahead approval and case number.
The reason why I contacted Apple Support and raise and exception ticket coz knowing our Apple authorised support centre in MY, they will taichi and not change your battery and yet bill you under battery replacement programme eventough the phone is under warranty and with the exception approval given by Apple, they will have no choice but to force replace it on Apple’s Cost.
Do you guys know which Apple centre in KL has stock for iPhone X battery and can replace the battery in less than 4 hours based on experience?

I'm afraid your issue could end up being more than a defective battery. Have it properly diagnose early by Apple instead of just insisting of getting the battery replace. You do not want to end up with a dead motherboard after your warranty over. I got my iPhone X replaced after it failed to retain charge.

Went to Machines to participate in Battery Replacement programme. End up got 1 to 1 phone replacement for free. The technician found out my phone having battery swollen problem. Got it replaced after few biz days. IPhone 7 btw. Upon checking the new serial number, i received 1 year part n services warranty (something like that), incl 90 days warranty by Machines. Originally my phone warranty already ended on Apr18.

Do you guys know which Apple centre in KL has stock for iPhone X battery and can replace the battery in less than 4 hours based on experience? I had exactly same issue as you but mine is iPhone 7 Plus running on iOS10.3.3 @ August 2018. When i ask the technician at Machine @eCurve to diagnose, he said my battery capacity is 95% and there is no need to change the battery. What he suspected was, the old iOS cause the problem. So, i came back home and updated to iOS 11.4.1. I still had the same issue. Brought back again to Machine. He suggest me to do reformat. It was done by them for FOC. After the reformat, i did not face the problem again. i even tested. My iPhone survived till 1% battery and did not turn off. Now im using iOS 12.0.1. His advice was perform update whenever new version is out.
