is 1h10m enough time for transit? kl-sg-nrt

Haha I'm taking this exact flight (sq638) on Thursday 🤣
1h10min is enough, it takes maybe 10min to get off the plane, and another maybe 20-30min max to transfer to T3 for sq638.

Having said that. I would 100% be comfortable with a 1hr10min connection coming back from holiday. But in the outgoing flight, IF your KUL-SIN flight gets delayed by more than like 20-30mins then you might miss the SIN-NRT. Of course SQ will take care of you and put you on next flight, but do you really want to deal with all that headache and schedule changes on the 1st day of your holiday?

hi all, i'm planning my pre wed photography + honeymoon during autumn
location: kyoto + nara + maybe osaka.
bought tix for 12-20 oct. (hopefully can see full red autumn leaves during this period)

actual photography might take place during 17,18 oct

current scenery ayam thinking for the photo:
1. nara park - deer, mountain, sunset (must)
2. fushimi inari - shrine stuff (must)
3. bamboo forest - bamboo trees lol (like waste of time?)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

might not go alot of places due to time constraint for photographer and travelling. so limit to few "more memorable" places.

wanna ask is there any other 'hidden' location asides from the more tourist common places to take my pre-wed photo?
and any advise for taking pre-wed photo in japan.

arigato.

Hi guys,

I planned a trip to Tokyo on 23-May to 28-May this year.
The last time i visited Tokyo (4d) & Kanagawa (4d) was in 2016 with my bros (all guys trip, and we missed out alot of places in Tokyo in fact)

See if there's any advice for my trip for 2 pax(honeymoon, and visit some of the missed out location last time):

Day 1 Thurs
- KL-HND (2.30pm (MY) - 10.30pm (JPN))
- Topup Suica Card
- HND to Hotel in Nihombashi (booked through Agoda) - walking distance from Nihombashi station
- Rest for the night

Day 2 Friday (eat and sightseeing)
- Tsukiji Market
- Asakusa
- Akihabara (since bring wife, i wont be spending too much time this time)
- Tokyo Tower

Day 3 Sat (shopping/window shopping/fashion sightseeing) -> i believe i need 1 whole day for these 3 area (from my past experience)
- Shibuya
- Harajuku
- Shinjuku

Day 4 Sun (day trip to Lake Kawaguchiko - Mt Fuji package)

Day 5 Mon (day trip to Disneysea)

Day 6 Tues (last shopping/sightseeing before flight back at 11.30pm)
- Unsure where to go for this last day, but plan to put my baggage at Tokyo Station locker
- HND - KLIA2 (11.30pm - 6am)

Breakfast mostly will be 7e/family mart, or Matsuya (500yen for a person meal)
We are not so keen on spending for food, so from range of 500yen-1500yen per meal should be enough (probably will spend more for Tsukiji market)

While my roughly budget spending for necessities (i estimate RM8000):
Confirmed Flight: RM2800 (for 2)
Confirmed Hotel: RM1700 (for 5 nights)

Disneysea spending: RM800 (ticket rm560, RM240 for food/transport)
Mount Fuji: RM 500 (estimation)
Transportation (train): 1000yen per day per person, total 8000 yen (exclude disneysea and mt fuji) - RM350
Food: RM200 x 5 = RM1000

Total RM7150 - extra RM850 from my budgeted amount

Shopping: Additional amount from ourselves (subjective)

Am thinking, whether to visit Lake Kawaguchiko or visit Kamakura/Enoshima would be better (experience and budget wise considered)

Let me know if you guys have any comments for my itinerary.
Thank you.

That was what I went through in May. Enough time if there's no flight delay leaving KLIA. However due to 30+min delay in departing, we ended up arriving in Changi late as well. Friend and I was running in the airport, to get to the gate ASAP. The PA was paging for us as there was only less than 15min away from takeoff. Definitely a very stressful transit. Think twice if you have children and elderly.

1. Day 2: Tsukiji Market? You must mean Toyosu. The fish market had moved to Toyosu since last year. And if you're planning to go around Toyosu, it'll easily take up most of the morning i think. Asakusa will easily take at least 3 hours to cover (including shopping and lunch/ late lunch) and finally Akihabara probably 1-2 hours if you have nothing to shop. Note that Akihabara closes around 8-9pm. Also check what time the Tokyo Tower closes unless you have no intention to go in, and just to take shots from outside. You may want to see how to time it if you plan on going all 4 places. Imo it's a bit tight in terms of the timing.

2. Day 6 : Since you leave your stuffs in Tokyo Station, consider exploring nearby. If you've not been to the Imperial Palace, consider going there. Shop around Tokyo Station (Yaesu entrance, basement 1 has Character Street) and probably find the nearest Don Quijote to do your final shopping. But i'll actually suggest doing Don Quijote the night before - before you pack your bag. Actually you'll even have time for a day trip to Kamakura on Day 6.

3. Your Day 4 already covering Lake Kawaguchi. Why ask about Lake Kawaguchi/ Kamakura-Enoshima? You can actually do both based on current plan. However I'll usually advice to spend at least 2D1N in Fuji 5 Lakes if you were to visit. Enjoy the slow pace, nature, leisure and onsen as well as ryokan/ inn style breakfast to recharge.

Wouldn't your photographer be the best person to give you suggestions? (I assume you're hiring one in Japan)

Hey man, thanks for the feedback.

1. Sorry, i kinda lost track, my understanding is the inner market moved to Toyosu, while the outer market (where all street foods) is still in Tsukiji? We plan to visit the outer market only for foods actually. Let me know if all of them moved to Toyosu thanks biggrin.gif

2. Thanks for the advice, as you mentioned, i'll consider more for day 6 nod.gif

3. Actually i'm asking - visit Lake Kawaguchi better or visit Kamakura/Enoshima better for a day trip on day 4. (couldn't think much on what i can do at Lake Kawaguchi since i'm not staying at ryokan, probably can visit hot spring and sightseeing, need to research more) sweat.gif

street food as per video (this was in 2017, unsure if all of them moved to Toyosu?)

1. Ah, outer market? Yes it's still there. However the fishes were delivered from Toyosu hahaha. Might as well go Toyosu...? Check out the new fish market. Just a recommendation. https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3021.html

Both Kawaguchiko and Enoshima/ Kamakura offers different things. The question will be: what do you want to see? hmm.gif both your Day 4 and Day 6 can do Day Trip.

Will be travelling to Kansai airport on Friday.
Question on clothing to bring on board plane. Is the Kansai airport well heated?
What type of clothing should one bring on board to keep warm while waiting for immigration clearance and luggage?

Thanks!

It's well conditioned inside the building. Neither very hot or cold.

I would say depends on individual, some can stand cold, some in KL also wear jacket and walk under the sun.

But my advise is bring a sweater/fleece/turtle-neck in your backpack. Get a medium size ziplock bag from Daiso to squeeze out all the air.

Worst case scenario, your luggage is missing/delayed. Imagine if you can withstand the temperature to go from airport to hotel and go out for meals/shopping. e.g. queue at bus/taxi stand, walk from station to hotel, etc.

You'll be fine inside the building, as for when you leave the building, it will depend on the weather at the time. Best to prepare a jacket (or even Heat tech to change into) for the time when you leave the building.
