Don't have to worry. It's just a short transit via the same Airline. So even if your arrival to Hanoi is late, the flight to Osaka will wait (unless delayed by too long).

And yes, like sacwoc mentioned - you don't have to check in/ out from the immigration. I believe VN will require you to stopover at the Transit Counter to check-in after you've arrived in Hanoi.

Hi sweet_pez, thank you, very much appreciated!

price cheaper compare to airasia?

RM3197 for 2 adults + 1 kid. The cheapest among all the full service airline I had found at the moment (Cheaper than Airasia X). If still want cheaper some more then need to wait for AA promo. I actually like the timing as the flight arriving Osaka next day in the morning so can start shopping and sight-seeing rclxms.gif

Anyone here think it's a good deal?

I took the same VN flight time in Dec 17. The only q needed is through carry-on bag scanner (your shoes too). doh.gif
Do not worry, 2-3 hours manageable. Still have time for burger or a smoke...  icon_idea.gif

My experience reaching Osaka at 6.40am. Need to wait HIS counter open at 8:30am for sim card or ticket collection ordered from Klook.
Took a bus (200yen) to Rinku premium outlet, snack shop at Supercenter Trial to kill time before 3pm Airbnb check-in. Feels sleepy since night flight.

Hi artman, thank you for sharing your experience, will further PM you if anything that came out on my mind.

with the recent rise of foreigners causing trouble in Japan issues such as that Logan Paul or something, i would like to ask everyone who would be visiting Japan to read up on some Do and Don't in Japan or ask here if you are not sure what is considered rude or what is ok to do.

its great if we dun ruined our reputations in other people country or else sooner or later we will get treated like China people where everyone hates them wherever they go.

enjoy and happy new year

no, can be mid night flight, reach there early morning. but i brought morning flight, reach there about 3:30pm, same price

i'm not buy in free seat period, so the price can cheaper than free seat, and no need wait for after 9 ~ 15 months, next month or next 2 months can depart
Airasia cheapest promotion is not free seat, it's Airasia mobile apps promotion.

if you have more than one pax, and need to use alot of data.
a pocket wifi is more than useful.

can try klook and kkday. can apply some promo code and get 10% off.

If it is u alone, maybe u can try docomo travel sim. but those have limited data.

You can get Kintestsu Rail Pass or Kansai One Pass for some special Privilege for certain tourist spots.

My recommendation is just get the Kansai One Pass and use it.
Kansai One Pass is just our TnG for anything from railway to subway to bus, plus certain privilege.
If you dont care about the special privilege, you can opt for ICOCA as well, same function as KOP but without any privilege

My 2 cents here.
D3 - USJ, get express pass, save your waiting time. Be there early and rush for Harry Potter area once the entrance is open, else you have to wait like mad.
D4 - I think you might want to replan on this unless you plan to do TnG style. Expect you will spent around 2 hours in Fushimi Inari Taisha and at least 3 hours in Kiyomizu dera and ninenzaka, plus all the transportation item and lunch time, you probably still have another 2 hours to spare with. Btw, you can go try experience the Starbucks in ninenzaka.
D5 - Put bamboo grove to early in the morning to avoid people, usually after 8:30 / 9, flocks of people will start to rush into bamboo grove. You might want to experience the torokko train, put it together with hozugawa river boat ride, best experience ever if you are the scenery type person. If you like coffee, you can try % Arabica coffee shop beside the hozugawa river, one of the best river view with coffee
D6 & 7 - Suggest you spend your time in Osaka is good enough. You still havent do any shopping plan + you are like only explored 3 place out from Osaka.
Go for Umeda Hanten department store, abeno harukas for excellent skyview
