coming back from osaka last month, family trip

next month will go osaka again for company trip

my last trip found up very less wine selection in kansai airport, especially Hibiki wisky
any suggest place to buy it in osaka instead of kansai airport?

BIC Camera has good selection of whiskys.

every bic has different stock level, so some might have some might not.
Basically japanese whisky like hibiki and yamazaki is being bought off as soon as it hits shelves by all the tourists.

I got myself a glenfarclas 21 years for 10,000 yen in BIC.
Which is actually a good price.

Do let me know if u have quota to help me carry some back brows.gif

thank you in advance if you can. lol.

good itinerary, not so much rushing.

Day 9, Day 10. I think better to nail down which area of Tokyo u want to visit.
Cause like from asakusa to harujuku will be a very long train ride, which will eat in to your timing.

For Gotemba, if you are in to branded goods shopping. Do some minimal homework of what you are looking for and then you will know if it is worth it or not.

i just got back from Japan, the fact that now Yen is cheaper , and there is Tax Free shopping at Gotemba.
There are really good buys.

Hi i need advice for SIM card to use data there . Anyone have a good recommendation ? I’m staying at Kyoto for 2 weeks
*
if you have more than one pax, and need to use alot of data.
a pocket wifi is more than useful.

can try klook and kkday. can apply some promo code and get 10% off.

If it is u alone, maybe u can try docomo travel sim. but those have limited data.

I’m sorry I was rushing to pack my things up. Yes I’m alone. If I offended you sorry , my fault .

try klook.com or kkday.com to look for sim card to be delivered to u in Malaysia.(unsure of their selection)

But if you are in a rush to get it, best for you to get the the airport in japan to buy your sim card.
there are vending machines around there and also there are also kiosks there that rent wireless wifi and also travel sims.

also alternatively you can book online
https://www.globaladvancedcomm.com/

collect it at airport.

have a good trip

Hello travellers, I am travelling to Japan and for now stuck with which WiFi options are available (Prepaid Japanese sim card, roaming pass, pocket WiFi, etc) until today I come across this 3-day roaming pass that Digi is offering. Details in pic:

Wondering if anyone has used Digi roaming pass in Japan before? Is the overall experience/coverage good? Mainly using for navigation purpose so having mobile internet access can be crucial for my upcoming trip, just making sure things will alright when I travel that's why asking here.

Thanks.
*
wow , this is quite good of a deal.

check who is their partnering telco in Japan, if it is one of the big boys. NTT Docomo, Softbank.
Coverage wont be a problem for sure if its them.

Oot, but the last few times I've been overseas (Thailand and Korea) i just got by using Digi internet passes. So much easier than fiddling with a new SIM card though i agree if there's a group, it's probably cheaper to share a portable WiFi.
*
yea, if alone no brainer!
but even if the passes are so convenient. can just put in to a 2nd phone and hotspot it.

thats what i did haha

It's Docomo
*
should be no problem!
the speed would be awesome haha.

Anyone tried the Tokyo subway pass 24/48/72 hours in Tokyo before? Any comment or feedback?

this pass is good value, if your stops are on these trains.
for metro, this pass for me is a really good value. just need to plan ahead to see the stops.

not worth...most of the railway are under JR
*
first time i hear someone say tokyo metro trains mostly under JR. i thought its the other way rounds, JR seems to have the least viable stations for tokyo metro.
