Because if you don't do military press in the 5 x 5, where else are you gonna do shoulder work? Unless your chest is a very weak point and your shoulders overshadow all other bodyparts, you don't have to do incline's on Wednesdays.

In what sense will leg be involved in MP? MP doesn't use leg drive.

Yeah, it'll be called a push press if leg drive is used.

Just because the core muscles are involved in the MP doesn't mean it has to utilize leg drive. King, you did see my MP video right? I used no leg drive there.

It is advisable to add some common sense in it.

For those interested, here's an interesting analysis on squats.

Note the Full squat (ATG) section as well as the customization section on how to avoid injuries. Of particular interest is hip flexibility which would dictate why some of us tend to round our back during the lower portion of the squat.

The link to Full Squat Flexibility on the same page is a very nice read too. The article also talks about wide stances and non-ATG squats as well as raising the heels and when each of these are suitable.

Since my gym don't have any racks, I'm wondering if it's safe to use those safety hooks on a smith machine as a rack? I'm having a tough time trying to squat ATG on a smith machine.
