Agree on the curved screen. I love Android. Still do. Things like lumping notifications together etc. that iOS don't have, widgets and all. Wanted to get Pixel 2 XL but too big and too many issues. Samsung's flagship all curved screens (less usable space plus I need to put SP which curved screen nothing is suitable). End up move back to iOS. Long time Mac user though so now MBP, iPad and iPhone X.

Hi guys, I just got my IpX 2 days ago and I noticed today that my screen feels warmer than my previous i6. I have turn off true tone and night shift, when viewing at other angles then the screen is 'whiter', is this the OLED characteristic people been talking about?

Previously my 7 Plus and 8 Plus maintains 0% drain during an 8 hour sleep, even with WiFi and 4G on, and even without low power mode. But you're right, the percentage drops kinda fast after your start using it immediately after that, ha ha ha...

Since ip6s , ip7+ and current ip8+ ( till firmware 11.1.1) battery drain overnight 8 hours s zero is common with wifi/lte n background app refresh on. However since 11.2.2 n till now 11.3b my lowest I could get was 2%. It was erractic drain on 11.2.2 ranging from 2 to 6%
The very good battery standby I would say is only significant advantage over Androids. Others I am not seriously impressed

It just doesn't make sense does it? Even if the phone is on standby mode, battery usage still occurs as you need power to power the phone through standby and the phone needs to constantly be kept logged on to the celullar network and data. Messages, mails and notifications coming in will also wake the phone. So, there is only one conclusion which is the battery meter is not displaying the actual battery consumption during long standby, either deliberately or not deliberately.

You do have a good point there! But than many of iPhone users can confirm zero or close to zero drain on standby. We could be tricked into believing so ??

Im also an Iphone X user, and an avid Iphone user as well uncle!.

i always believe iPhone during standby halt the battery movement to close to none.. thus leads to impressive standby time.. because once we used it for a while, it's very fast to drop to around 92-94%.. the 6-8% drops is significantly faster than drops occur when the battery is at 80% (for eg.)

I bet to differ, I think that is just a nocebo effect. I accidentally left my X at home for 5 days before traveling outstation. The battery charge dropped to 43% from a rather full charge. Even then, that is still a pretty impressive standby time.
