Hi, I just got introduced to an investment scheme OTM Capital. They were claiming a 100% return guarantee depending on the initial investment.

Upon a deeper research, I've noticed there's a warning being issued by Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and apparently, the address written on their website otmcapital.com was fake.

I was about to join in but at this point, it raised a huge red flag for me. Not to mention, when asked how did they manage to make all these profits for distribution... I got the answer it was from a hotel booking site that I never heard before, and wasn't even functioning properly.

Return too good to be true. It looks like a scam, it smells like a scam, then most likely it is a scam.

scam normally run from one place to another, so by the time you find some people who have been con, they already disapear

if u know the earlier "development" compared to now, u definitely wont want to enter. anyway stay away from it.

Normally, you should be commended for doing research before committing money but in this case, they promise "100% return guarantee".... upon hearing this, you should not have researched further.... you should not have told people you have researched on it because people will laugh at you....at your naivety..

From now onwards, tell yourself... any return that is 10% or more that is guaranteed.... just ignore and move on...

Hi , I’m with OTM capital for almost 1 years + everything is so far so good. Also there is no 100% guarantee every investment is come with a risk. Make ur own judgement .

Moreover. I think the best person could tell u is the one who alredy engaged with them. Those who not hear or might not hear of it straight away classify it a scam is totally not fair to the company ( my own opinion )

Ask yourself if u looking for a good food around by looking at ppls comment claim the food is suck whereby the person got in personally and writing bad comment for the restaurant and food. Do u think is fair for them ?

Anyway just my personal view. Thing is too good to be real just that we never really got the real deal only. Those might be exist.

Based on your own research that it has raised a huge red flag..... And anything that is 100% guaranteed returns. Its too good to be true ....

Hi there, Im afraid that you have some mistaken, for your information OTM Capital is not a scam as I have already successfully invested in their saving plan. Their company was not registered in Denmark or any other countries, OTM is located in an off shore island, Denmark is a place where they started their first branch.
On the other hand, their profits are not coming from a hotel booking site, their profits are all comes from the daily trading of Mitou(rated as the top 5 trading company).
otmhotels.com is just a website like Agoda which only allow their members to book 4,5&6 stars hotel, they do not earn any profits from here.
Hope you can receive your answers from what Ive wrote. And the information you've got is totally misleading.

how to identify ponzi scheme :

3. scale up package like $100, $1000, $10000
4. requires capital to be locked up for a certain period like 1 month, 1 year etc

these scheme will end up 0 in 1 day, normally took few month or years to collapse, depends on the situation

i have seen many of these scheme, like JJPTR, magiccoin, bitconnect, and never grew tired of seeing these schemes

Go for the free food only. If you join them, you will need to find other members in order to get this scheme to continue to work.

Scam.. you want to invest.. pay RM10 open trading account, put your money right int company holdings. Even unit trust is almost halfway to scam, but at least the managers work damn hard to prevent losss... but they eat a good portion of profits due to operations.

It pays to learn a little about the things you want to dump your resources into. No investment guarantees protection of capital. My best investment scheme was RM10. Period.

can also ask PIDM to save you why not.. even that has its limits to how much they can cover. Thats why funds can offer you coverage from their nett cashflow - doesn't grow on trees. I prefer to keep it in my hands. Direct trading increases exposure risk, but at annualised 12-18% returns vs 6-8% on mutual funds with fees etc etc whatnot, using brains a bit seems like a very good option. My asnb has been pretty much a waste of time - generating only effective 3-4% like FD thanks to the current shaky market. Capital protected? maybe, cause those guys will lose their jobs if they run negative and cash injection to keep dividends up.

Then i throw my hat into the bijan GE crash and made a handsome 20% - of course its one off nia lah - and now trump is screwing everyone arund him - but klci still doing pretty good for now.

Not saying you shouldnt keep a good figure in solid cash like FDs for more solid protection - its just comparing the risk return figures. Nothing is free. But knowledge can be fund for free nowadays.

my package applied with OTM was due on this month. The fund in my account can be fully withdraw before 15th Oct 2018. I made withdrawal on 3rd Oct 2018. Untill now, i check my account balance everyday but din see the money come in. I try contact their support and still no reply from them. Anyone here can tell me what to do next. You might have just testified that it is an actual scam.

Go make report to Bank Negara and Police for action, may be just for more information help other from being scammed.

Suggest to initiate the report asap to be first batch of reported victims and get the refund first if they are investigated and proved to be scam.

Trade war causing their rmb to devalue, and chinese people continuously watching it, and thinking that their money is safer if it is USD。 Their business is good because of taking advantage of people's fear.
