Exposing the Sure Lose Investment / Scam OTM Capital / Trust- Sharing my Story

1)What is this?
I’ve made a foolish ‘investment’ - OTM Capital. OTM Trust & I’m exposing this so that others will not do the same.

2)How much did I lose?
Input: RM 23K in Nov 2017
Output: RM 8K as of July 2018. No more successful withdrawal after that
Loss: RM 15K + A Friend

3)What did I gain?
A slap in my pride! A hole in a pocket!

4)Why did I invest in the first place?
Greed, Foolishness
Trusting wrong person: Dr T***** is my uni mate, who introduced me to this investment. Like all of u, I do believe that he is the mastermind / ringleader behind this.

5)What did this investment promise?
Invest RM23K = USD 5k (accd to their exchange rate).
5% return per month (ROI)
18 months lockdown period. Full return of capital by 18 months
5% withdrawal fees each time

6)How everything went wrong?
Nov 2017: Sign up with RM 23K ie USD 5K
Dec 2017- July2018: ROI as promised. No problem with withdrawal of ROI
Nov 2018: ROI given is the system. But unable to withdraw USD 1K = RM4K
Nov 2018 - Apr 2019: I asked Dr T**** several times rgd the fail withdrawal, but I wasn’t too pushy, so things were delayed
May 2019: Told to convert my ROI + Capital (~USD 6.5k) from OTM Capital to OTM Trust. Previous investment agreement/ promise became void. No alternative offered. It is compulsory to use the fund to trust units, then to trade it off, before being able to cashout.
Bought USD 6.5k worth of units at the price of USD 0.1228/ unit.
Tried reselling the unit back at same price of USD 0.1228/unit - fail
June 2019: The selling rate by the company has appreciated 0.1243/unit. Suggest by Dr T**** to resell the units at lower price USD 0.088/unit (30% loss) - Done, but fail
August 2019: Unable to sell the units even at 30% loss, was suggested by Dr T**** to resell the units at USD 0.04/unit (70% loss)- I told him bullshit!

I am ready to expose as I have nothing more to lose - so I am planning for more things.

Disclaimer: Though Dr T**** has suggested for me to get family & friend to join, I have never once done so.

Agree that investment = risk...
(1) The 'investment' that I agreed to initially was 5% ROI monthly, then upon maturation at 18months- return of capital
- THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE END! Thus OTM Capital is indeed a negative value investment

(2) Upon converting the fund to OTM Trust - which was NOT BY CHOICE - the units were not sellable.
How is it that a trust fund is able to appreciate in 'sell price' value (refer to my earlier post) - but this is not reflected during transaction to sell out the unit
And this bring to, is there any value these unit?
Answer : nil - thus OTM Trust is indeed a negative value investment

You were lucky to have an your agent alerted you earlier... Perhaps, you are close to them
As I mentioned, I know Dr T**** personally (13 years to be exact).. I was hoping that I was in ur situation, but that did not happen.
Nov 2018 - withdrawal was stuck.
May 2019 - only was told no choice to convert everything to OTM trust
Agree I wasn't pushy & did not pester him, but I was expecting the 'friend' would be more helpful & alert me of my choices
Event when I went to meet him in May 2019, he told his assistant - the famous JezzXXXXe in the forum - to explain to me - in which she did her job poorly
So overall, the investment representative couldn't care less about their client/ friend

My intention is to highlight how OTM Capital/ OTM Trust is certainly a NO NO investment. And anything that is promoted by this team is HAS NO HOPE at all!
