Since your father is retiring, this kinda insecure investment will not be suitable for him. It is not regulated by SC and in fact it is also listed as unauthorized investment by SC.

Suggest that you can diversify your father's EPF fund into money market and bond funds will do.

insurance is part of the planning i do for clients. investment plans are too wide. most important is knowing what financial goal you want to achieve given with the time horizon you have. you can do some own investment like buying funds through FSM/eUnittrust, buying REITs, buying bonds, stocks & shares, and etc (so long you are not looking into insurance as investment, you are pretty good to go).
