I did cancel. The only thing is that up till now its never a pleasant feeling in my mind whenever I cancel in these kinds of situations....apart from the worry that the rider will complain, I'm running the scenario in my head like "did I do anything wrong/make a mistake in cancelling wrongly".

After all, apart from the money, job satisfaction still comes from giving a pleasant service to everyone.

if the price is suddenly so much higher even though the distance is about the same most likely got surge.. in that case it can become a bit difficult to ask for the top up to the surge price because the time of booking is different. up to driver to insist and Rider to accept or not but just aware this consideration. deswai best to check before trip started.

offline while you have a customer in your car will not lose incentive. tested many many times and you can check for yourself in the incentive tab. actually offline while you are going to pickup the passenger after accept job also won't affect Incentive.

During CNY holiday, no traffic, buta buta drive without thinking also can have high earning. normal days with gila traffic situation, then you will see.

believe me I drove before the CNY period and during the CNY holiday . I purposely drove during cny just to enjoy the empty roads.

As other sifus and an alpha here have said, flexi requires extra knowledge and experience of the time and place where you hunt. In other words you need to really be pro first before you can out-earn what you can get from HG.

Just compare your earnings this weekend with the weekend before CNY (if you drove then), I'm willing to bet that the huge traffic during that weekend significantly reduced your earnings compared to yesterday and Saturday.

Well just to give you an idea, last week I acceptted 116 jobs, total cancellation 29 (25%), of which 19 were by passenger. no SMS. The week before also similar figures, in fact slightly higher.
But every PAX I put remark using the in app help or this link:

if it wasn't that much then count the numbers of cancellation from your history last week and tell us what that number is, plus your total jobs completed.

Use the note feature on the Grab app...write a note there with your exact location. I cant understand why GRab doesn't highlight this feature more the first time riders use the app.
